You can punch a a small divot in the snaps to make them only come off in one direction, similar to the ones used in holsters.

your points are valid. I'd like to see what types of brackets you are using for your RTT and your Awning. Thanks!
@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures9 күн бұрын
The brackets are self made using the supplied flat bar and bolts with some extra parts. May do a short video on the cobbled together solution, lol
@MotoPhotoAdventures9 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! I think Jason "MacGyvered it together" is the technical term for those brackets. :-)

They just released this for the Ford Maverick and I went straight to your video. I'm still considering it but I have a few issues with it. One, I really wish the top rack was extruded aluminum so you can easily mount accessories using the t-track. I figure it wouldn't be too hard to do away with the stock cross bars and mount some 45 series. Two, I wish there was a way to have the side panels open, but in a more secure way where someone can't just unzip it and take all your stuff. Three, I agree that it should be clamped in.

Do you think these have enough air circulation to have my dogs back there during road trips?
@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures11 күн бұрын
I would guess yes. My dog would prob find a way to jump out tho! LOL

@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures got it, With 2 babies and my wife in the cab it's kind of hard to fit a German Shepherd and a beagle with us as well. So I'm shopping around for a budget friendly option that meets our needs if it makes sense😅

@@JesusGarcia-yi8my Wow! Good for you - family time with the pups is the best! I love the WildTop. It comes with accommodations, of course like non-lockable etc... but def worth the $ IMHO.

Hey Jason, do you find that the lower edge of the canvas panels flap around at highway speed since they are not secured in anyway? I could see that damaging the paint on the truck in short order after a few trips in dusty environments. Thanks
@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures25 күн бұрын
No damage. They provide clear "stickers" that you place under the spot where the zipper comes down. Works great! Good question! Thanks for commenting. Hit that like and sub button for us!

Great video and a very nice product (never seen a rack on top of a “soft cap” ), as you mentioned. I must say, the magnets are a great idea/time saver. Most similar applications use a hook and loop system (Velcro), that must be fed through a metal ring, tightened and attached back to itself…brilliant. Btw, I love your idea…an annex extension option for the rear. What about this…instead of attaching low, it could attach up high and walla, an out of the bad weather sitting and changing area annex 🤔. I would purchase this option for sure if I was in the market

Drilling into my truck is a deal breaker. They need to have an add on for Nissan Titans to attach to the Utili rack.
@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures12 күн бұрын
I was hesitant as well but after seeing all of the other things folks attach to their trucks like tool boxes etc, it didn't seem like such a big deal.

Can you lock it some way? I don't feel comfortable leaving expensive gear unlocked. It defeats the whole purpose.
@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventuresАй бұрын
Cannot lock it... however you can use interior lockable like Decked or similar. I built a system in there for that purpose.

I would love to be able to sleep inside this too but don’t see how I can zip this thing up from the inside. Seems real necessary especially on cold windy nights. Any tips?
@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures28 күн бұрын
It's doable. Not designed for it so ya gotta reach under and out. I'm currently working on the Tailgat tent prototype that will take this into consideration in the design. Thanks for the comment/question. Hit that sub button for us! :)

Can you drive in safari mode? Thank you! Also, trying to decide if i should get the windows or not. Pros and cons to those plastic windows? Thanks

You CAN drive in safari mode but not recommended at high speed simply because of the flapping. No cons to the windows except that ya can see in… i put up curtains. lol

I saw on instagram that they are working on a clamp system for it. It was in a comment on a question someone asked. I do want to get one of these for my 05 1500 dodge. I like this soft top a lot
