I’ve said it before, guys, and I’ll say it again: Jesus didn’t come to make bad people good, He came to make dead people ALIVE! That is surely the case with my good friend, Jim Wahlberg.
Jim is the exact middle child of THE famous Wahlberg family. He started getting involved in drinking and crime at a very young age and by age twelve, he was a ward of the state. He spent years in-and-out of prison and even time in solitary confinement before he was 30.
It was during one of his prison sentences where he picked up a job as a custodian for a Catholic priest at the prison chapel and Jim’s life changed FOREVER. He was introduced to the forgiveness and love of Jesus! We talk about meeting Mother Teresa, being “Mom’s favorite,” and his current work in filmmaking and on Jesus Thirsts: the Miracle of the Eucharist.
Jim’s story is one of God’s redemption and healing goodness, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Jim is a great dude and his story is not only inspirational, but it is proof positive that, just as gold is refined by fire, our faith is refined and strengthened through our trials.

Your comment is so perfect. I have been seeking joy for so long and just this morning, I began reading James. The opening STOPPED me: Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials.

Middle child syndrome is a real condition too. They’re not the oldest and they’re not the baby… so they’re nearly lost somewhere in the middle. Almost “unseen” at times. This is a great story of redemption. Praise be to God.

Got to meet Jim a couple times. One of the first things he noticed was my 4 way medal, specifically mama Mary being on it. Mary has been watching out for him in a very special way. God bless, Jim.

This is genuinely amazing. I don't know if I have ever heard a conversion story like this before. Jesus took Jim's life from ruins to redemption. God bless all the holy priests who light the way and keep the faith and pray for souls like Jim's to come home. Praise Jesus for this beautiful story! God bless both of you.

Love these conversión stories because is about the power of the love of God for his creatures and about a new life not only for that person but for many others who will be blessed because of that like his family, friends and the community. Our God just wants to reveal Himself to us to feel his love and learn how to love Him back through our neighbors . I’m so joyful for Jim and his family. Many blessings. Glory to God in the name of Jesus. 🙏🙏🙏

What an incredible interview!!!! It's 2:45am and I just couldn't go to bed until I heard the whole story. I grew up with the Baltimore Catechism and the fear of God. I'm not trying to be critical of my Catholic School religion classes as it was the 1950's and that's the way we learned religion. It's a whole new look to my life knowing God loves me even though I've made mistakes. Jim Wahlberg....what an amazing journey you've had to find God. I'm so sorry you went through so much, but the end result is an incredible you. My Mother had Alzheimer's disease and didn't know who I was or my oldest brother, but my brother 6 years older than me was always in trouble but he was the only one of the three of us that she could remember his name! After she passed, that brother was devastated and he passed a year after our Mom. So much more to the story. Anyway, I can't wait to see your film and will look for the others you've made. Thank you for sharing your story.
