Chrissy and I did the Musical The Boy From Oz that year. She played Judy Garland and I played Liza Minnelli. I have the ring she is wearing here. I had given the choreographer a similar ring i was wearing as a spontaneous 40th bday present and later in her dressing room Chrissy gave me this ring. So many great memories of 540 shows together over two productions of the same musical.

How did she get into theater acting? She must've went to a performing arts high school or something..

Her mother was into theater and they always needed kids to play parts. She took acting, dance, ballet, and speech lessons as a child.

A very beautiful woman with a beautiful voice. Lost too soon. Still missed deeply in our hearts 💕

Such a beautiful, sensual, sexy woman with an incredibly powerful talent, aura, and stage presence. I've always admired and been in awe of her since I first saw the video for this song back in the 90s. She is truly unique, what a voice, WOW. Even here when she was ill, she brings the incredible stage presence, stunning voice, her distinctive sultriness and star power. Incredible woman, may she rest in peace!!!
@JeffersonDinedAlone10 жыл бұрын
A sad version to me, somehow nearly a plaintive cry. I see a very lovely woman who is also very strong, and yet, her fragility comes out in this, and it brings a sadness to me because I knew how ill she was. She was very special; I can't define that, however, some people simply are.

Hopefully she won't have to deal with such ignorant - judgemental comments from someone who's never lived a full life. She DID! but you only takes selfies ALONE of your belly ALONE in your bathroom ALONE touching himself!!!! Lonely?Much? Bbaaawwwaaaaa! Lonely Boy!!!

This unplugged version shows the love song inside of what could be easily considered as a burlesque bump and grind tune-make me miss them even more.
@monsieurcommissaire16283 жыл бұрын
Well said. You made me realise one of the reasons this song is so great- it's considerable depth isn't at first obvious, but woven into an outstanding Rock Roll song that is also one of the great love songs we've been blessed with. I remember when this came out. I loved it at once and ever since. It also makes me wish I had gone to see them live. Note to self and everyone: If you love a band, go see them. If you love someone, tell them. Kiss them. In whatever order. You don't have to prove love, but you can certainly demonstrate it.

I love this beautifully poignant interpretation of Divinyls major international hit and the way Chrissy decided to approach it from a different direction. For a little added context with timeline, this was July 2006, not long after doctors confirmed her MS diagnosis in Jan 2006. The 27 min interview on soundcloud is well worth a listen.

Jackelbrash.... There is a very interesting telephone interview that Chrissy did mid 2005 from her home in New York City....*Chrissy Amphlett Interview - a Rock & Roll Geek rerun*. You may know of it already but I thought I'd just mention it in case some other fans might want to give it a listen. I would consider it one of her more compelling interviews and filled with loads of fascinating info.
