Install tip for anyone not wanting to drill into their drain, you can tap into the garbage disposal dishwasher drain with push on adapters.

What are push-on adapters? What if you have a dishwasher? Would you still be able to tap into the garbage disposal?

My only disappointment with this system is the size. I was going to get the Waterdrop G800 system for under the sink, but at 5.65” wide it was too big. This one is even slightly wider; 6.25”. My sink is in an island, so a countertop model isn’t really an option. Happy you were able to make yours fit.

how did you end up plugging back in the garbage disposal with the RO system?

So did you end up installing another ac outlet under sink to get around the garbage disposal switch issue? Thanks for the great detailed review!

Nice video thanks! Can you please test how much waste water it actually wastes? I saw a review of the gp800 wasting a ton of water as it will flush 33 oz even if only turned on for 1 oz of water. I'll be in a van with 64 gallons of water so I super care about the waste ratio. Also how does the flushing work exactly for the x12? Does it only flush within 5 min of getting water or does it keep flushing often randomly? Thank you!!

i wonder if it's loud. i have a small apartment and my bedroom is next to my kitchen. plus i am sensitive to noises. and is it noisy all the time or only when you fill your cup with water? thanks a lot!

Ambitious undertaking, I think I would have called in a plumber. Here (Baton Rouge) we have deep artesian wells and are lucky to have great tasting and pure water (we have other problems though). If I wanted to install one of these, I would have to deal with shrinking under sink real estate. 4 years ago I installed a Bosch undersink on demand water heater, which I love. BTW, I found this in my KZbin list because I'm running out of your other site's videos and I guess the KZbin algorithm thinks I'm a Christy fan (I am).

How much commission do you get for your video from Waterdrop?

You can always route the waste water line outside the house and to the rain barrow like I do and you will capture all the waste water and use it for plants. :)

Unfortunately I’m reading a lot about WaterDrop systems breaking after a year and they don’t stand behind their product.
@yelenagretchneva55957 ай бұрын
which one would you recommend instead?
@keithlow41828 ай бұрын
It doesn’t make sense. If the re-mineralization happens at filter 1, the RO filter at filter 3 would have gotten rid of it. Or does the water go from RO first and filter 1 last? Also, pH tested was 6.5, should it not be alkaline as advertised, why is it acidic.

Was looking at the G3P600, on sale for ~450. Is this new system worth the premium? I know it just came out, not many reviews on it yet. My house water is already softened, so I don't know I gain much from this new system over the old G3P600. I don't care much about the flow speed. Thanks in advance for any input.
@dannyling-li7uf10 ай бұрын
I owned a G3p600 a few years ago. It's good to use. But it doesn't come with a re-mineral function. I have to add extra minerals it. It's not convenient. I’m very impressed with the remineralization capabilities of the X12 she mentioned in the video. Maybe it is time to upgrade my g3p600.
@CaomeiMonster10 ай бұрын
@@dannyling-li7uf Thanks for the input. I searched around on the Remin filters. Waterdrop offers the MNR35 for $30. I think i'm going to go with this combo G3P600 + MNR35 filter. See if that solves your problems too!

No one should be this happy about a water filtration system 🤔
@jeff727910 ай бұрын
It wastes tons of water though. For every 1 gallon of water produced, it wastes 3 to 4 gallons. Not good if you are on a water meter.
@karenmitchell681410 ай бұрын
Are you sure about that? Isn’t it just the opposite? The specs say 3:1, pure to drain. Doesn’t that mean for every 3 gallons of pure water, one gallon is lost?
@jeff727910 ай бұрын
Just Google waste to product ratio of ro systems.
@waterdropfilter.official10 ай бұрын
Waterdrop is committed to sustainability and constantly improving its pure to waste water ratio. With the Waterdrop X-Series RO System boasting a 3:1 ratio, it means that for every 3 gallons of pure water produced, only 1 gallon of waste water is generated. This substantial reduction in water wastage compared to other RO systems.
@jeff727910 ай бұрын
@@waterdropfilter.officialThats what they claim, but whats the reality? It's widely known that RO systems waste more water than they produce. Maybe technology is getting better, but i looked into RO about a year ago and the best i found was 2 gal waste to 1 gal treated Not only does the water have to pass through the filters, but after, those filters have to be flushed with more water that goes down the drain.
@TheFrodiggs10 ай бұрын
@@jeff7279 not all systems are the same WD has lower ratios across the board. The G600 I have is 2:1
@helpimadisaster48039 ай бұрын
RO systems are pointless. No discernable difference in taste, it's worse for you (even with remineralization) and it can even be slightly corrosive to metals so you wouldn't want to use it in coffee makers and whatnot.
