I have to say they r remarkably disciplined n in tune at the same level as any protocol military band i have ever seen. And the marching students pretty much ordered. Reminds me of assembly at the start of each period when we formed in column of twos per class and marched to our assigned classroom behind our teacher. Whatever anyone says, discipline and structure at school are essential to any child's growth.

Such happy memories of all the great ceremonies here: Speech Day, the beautiful Christmas services, Lord Mayors Parade, Beating Retreat at the end of term. My daughter was a student here and in the band.

Yes, happy memories of my time there too. I have other videos on my channel of other years too. A fabulous school.

Watching this is pure nostalgia! I wish videoing things was more common when I was there so I could see myself, but in a way I'm glad it wasn't!

This is almost the last place "Sussex by the Sea" is truly celebrated...here and ironically a football stadium...countless thousands of Royal Sussex lives down the line and we're reduced to this...

The march being played as the students march is is Semper Fidelis the US Marine Corps March by J.P. Sousa.
@keithrobertsson21647 жыл бұрын
Can anybody identify what the band played as it marched in?
@frereM6 жыл бұрын
It is the Washington Post March commissioned from Sousa in 1889 by the Washington Post newspaper.
