Yes - it is a village in Gloucestershire. Many hymn tunes are named after places, such as "Down Ampney".

Garrett, you moved me to tears this time friend... EONS beyond SUPERB!! WOW!!! I just discovered this hymn purely by accident on a pianist friend's Facebook page as I'd never heard it before and thus totally unfamiliar with this stunning hymn tune that has the same changes in it that I often employ PLUS some of the rich harmonies totally reminds me of the gorgeous hymn tune "East Acklam" by Francis Jackson that I've totally fallen in love with upon discovering it June 2021. Your interpretation was elegant combined with your professional choir, got the tears welled up. Brilliant!!
