Christchurch NZ 8K 360 VR Street Walk | Insta360 X4 Exploration

As well as watching on a VR headset, you can watch this video on a normal screen & scroll around. This was processed via Insta360 Studio, exporting at 7680 x 3840 at 200Mbps, which is 8K UHD at 2.00 aspect ratio. I also recorded this at EV -0.3.
A popular use for 360 cameras, aside from reframing, is creating interactive VR videos. The X4 is the first 360 camera that shoots 8K video and KZbin's VR app can now play it. But how does it look? Yes that rode mic works well with cutting down wind noise as well as other extraneous noise

Do you have to upload 360 videos through the desktop site or what?! I've tried uploading my X4 360 footage on KZbins mobile app and it doesn't recognize it as 360 causing it to just show the full fov.

This was exported through Insta360 Studio and uploaded via desktop. Exported in 8K and 200Mbps it was 24GB in size. And I uploaded it 5 days ago - before I published it - to make sure KZbin had plenty of time to make sure it was all good in their servers.

Also interested in your work flow in editing etc .Plus did you try this on a VR headset ? I may get a 360 camera for video but would probably mount it on /above a backpack as i walk around . The full 8k is not fully displayed on KZbin , just 4k so i would get VR goggles .

@@TheTechPacker It looks a bit out of focus on my end as well. However, my computer wont play the 8k file. It's super choppy. My computer is good enough, i5 13th gen and Rtx 3060 with 32gb of ram. I'm getting 105Mbps download speed currently. I'm not sure why it's so choppy when I play it in 8k. I'm also watching on a 34inch ultrawide.

@@TheTechPacker I've also tried it on my Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Android tablet. It's not even giving me the 8k option. The highest option on the tablet is 2160s. The focus looks better, but your face still looks a bit out of focus.

Video quality is not good from insta360 x4, blurry, lot of noise. i bought insta360 x4 with the huge expectation, however that did not turn out and i had to return it.

@@TheTechPacker Please share some tips, i am thinking to buy insta360 rs one 1 inch. could be possible that i am not making required setting before i export video in order to get crisp video. i used dji pocket 3 which gave me crisp and clear video.

Fyi on my ipad large its grainy or a bit fuzzy or not in focus looking. Laurie. NZ. Checked settings, Aha 720p so changed to max and much better!
