Nah, that doesn't make much sense to me, why would that be the case? He is a genius, I don't understand why not playing an instrument would lead you to write more complicated music, he knows very well what he's doing, I can guarantee you that, and he probably has 0 issue with any of that solphege and he writes music for the appropriate level, he expects musicians to handle it well as well.

@dad I don't think you played a grade 5 piece of music in the 5th grade, I'm in seventh grade and the hardest pieces we play are grade 2.5, not to shatter your dreams of looking cool, but that is so unrealistic. It may have made a tinier bit more sense if you were in a symphony or orchestra, but 5th grade band, yea i doubt you played Redline Tango

Listened to Ride (Hazo), Sevens (Hazo) then this. Felt like a trilogy of movies. Ride was the innocent beginning. Sevens was the snazzy sequel. This was the emotional conclusion.

@medievalmusiclover so does 100% of all pop music. At least Johns music actually is music, and not just loud. My jazz instructor has told me over and over, and the music on the scores and on paper isint music, we are the music.
