As a woman, I’ve been struggling with p*rn (also lust) ever since I laid my eyes on it as a kid. I’m still fighting that but im p*rn free ever since the beginning of this year and I will continue to grow and fight this battle with lust. There were so many times I wanted to break. But that streak, that visible progression let me keep going. A few months ago I wanted to relapse. Studies have shown that, yes, porn does affect body image and relationship expectations. However, it is a bit misleading to say it "destroys the brain". No studies show anything about the brain and nerves being damaged. It's a form of media like anything else. Watching too many Netflix shows could be addicting. Online prn and high speed internet have only been around 20 odd years and the levels of sexual dysfunction in otherwise healthy men has shot up, it’s not a coincidence. High speed internet has created a hyper-real, endlessly stimulating prn experience, it isn’t regulated, it’s accessible and it is proliferated in our media so that children are exposed to it at young ages. Our governments are not tackling this problem, so we must be educated and wary of the devastating effects it can have. And it does physically change the brain, it rewires the brain, conditioning it to only respond to prn rather than real intimacy or sex. Brain scans on heavy prn users showed similar brain activity to a dopamine inducing trigger as that of substance addicts. Heavy prn use fries dopamine receptors and makes normal stimuli far less reward. It is an addiction with devastating consequences.

KEEP PRAYING and the lord is going to help you to kit this addiction! I used to be completed addicted to p*rn and mstb, it was destroying me. The enemy convinced me that this was ok, and little by little I was loosing my identity of a daughter of God... I was so deep in this sin that I thought it was to late to come back to the Lord, so it got worse and worse. But one day my sister talked to me and said that she knew what was happening and talked to me, I was so relieved to have someone to count on. I started to pray and ask for mercy and strength, read the bible more and be careful with the media I consume to not trigger me. I'm not perfect, but the Lord helps me (and you who is reading too). I am better than I used to be, I stopped to consume p*rn and slowly stoped to mstb (I felt back a lot of times, but The Lord had mercy with me). I don't have the words to thank God, but I am really really grateful 🙏

Its amazing how God shows Himself through our prayers, I was acutally just facing temptation with wanting to watch p*rn and I took a moment, removed all distractions and just started praying and rebuking those demonic forces that were at work (it doesn't normally happen like that but I'm tired of this sin and don't want it apart of my life and I know God feels the same). You aren’t alone. I’m very proud of you, my sister in Christ. God is truly with us during those times. What has helped me so much is realizing that God sees us for who we are, and He knows when are hearts are soft and when we are striving to follow after Him. He will give us a way out when we’re tempted, just like this video helped you. Also I recently read historical context to the bible about how sexual immorality was really, really bad (weird) amongst the pagans and idol worshippers of the old testament. That’s part of why God had to destroy the earth by flood ….. 1 Corinthians 10: 13 (AMP) says - No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word-He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]. So sometimes I pray for God to strengthen me the way He must have had to strengthen His true followers, like Noah, living in those times. They might have been tempted to follow the trends/rituals the way us modern people are encouraged to be desensitized towards sex and pornography.

I'm a psychology major at an elite university in my home country, and frankly, the number of highly educated psych students who are pro porn (despite knowing full well its horrible nature) baffles me. Thank you for a video on this topic, I hope it’s something that will become less taboo and more understood. So many people are affected or addicted. Personally I had been trying to quite prn for almost 3 years after realising I was addicted. I first watched it when I was a child and didn’t know any better, it’s so normalised I kept doing it until I was addicted but didn’t even realise. Trying to quit was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do and I relapsed so many times during those three years. About a month and a half ago I prayed to God, I asked him to help me, I said I was his completely, I just wanted it to stop. After that it felt as though a weight had been lifted from me, all the shame and guilt had gone and I truly felt as though I’d finally left it behind me for good. To all those dealing with this addiction, do not give up hope, you are worthy of love and forgiveness, and the Lord loves and forgives you. Trust in him, pray to him. I will pray for you all❤️

girl thank you for opening up about this harmful addiction and calling this out in such a biblical and straightforward but kind way. I've struggled with this myself over the years and have also had relationships with partners having damaging addictions to it. I became a p0rn addicted at the age of eleven, and that was so sad. I had my innocence taken so early and I was destroyed and depressed. With that, I've discovered m4sturbati0n and became a slave of that. Everything led me to an unhealthful relationship and I got pregnant at seventeen. On top of that I was born Christian, I knew that I was doing something wrong. But now, Jesus set me free, I am 18 and living my best life with my baby girl. You can do it too, it is never too late!!!

I'm a fellow christian woman and have struggled for years with porn addiction, extreme body image issues, extremely distorted views of intimacy, and it led me to participate in hookup culture for years which only deepened my shame. but I know I'm saved and made pure through Jesus and am now waiting for my future spouse! That comment doesn't slander men. It's just stating the fact that men tend to watch porn regularly far more than women. I think it was like 90% of men having watched porn in the last month in a study, while it was 'just' 40% of women. Most porn is created with men as the target audience too. I've never been addicted to any substance, but having grown up in the late 90's-2000's I was one of the first wave of kids to grow up with the internet. I saw X-rated content before I was even 10 years old, and the impact it's had on me for over a decade is a problem for our time that has flown under the radar for too long.
