Christian Book Acquisitions

Christian books, recently acquired. I had such a large book haul to report (32 secular books) I decided to record this video about the Christian books separately. Two of the books are Bibles. Some of the books will be read later in the year for the Biblical Studies Challenge created by ‪@ReadJournalLove‬
I kept saying "Christian Studies Challenge" in the video, but that was only because I forgot she named it "Biblical Studies Challenge" ... go figure!!!

I like to read through certain books in different translations, and every now and then I learn something new because of how things are worded differently. (Speaking of Bible books!)

@ I’ve been toying with the idea of getting Hebrew and Greek interlinear translations. To ultimately see the Bible word for word in the original languages.

@@Eden-Restored - I just found both of these online at a site called Scripture For All. - "scripture4all-dot-org" ... I'm so excited about this. Thanks for mentioning it. I think later in the year I'm going to get some books on learning Hebrew.

Yes! I live just south of the border in the Klamath River Valley.

@@Eldertalk We do! We've lived here about 12 years. While we miss the beauty and climate of the PNW, we love the atmosphere of the community of the South.

@@MyGrannyEra ... at one time I wanted to move out of CA as I'd always lived in this state. I didn't go far - I moved just to North Idaho. It was nice, but as soon as I could afford to I moved home to the Klamath River Valley.

The Biblical Studies Challenge has Gospels scheduled for April. I wonder if it is possible for me to get through that in a month! (Not likely, unless I really work at it.) But I'll start it then at least.

I started to read the Justo L. Gonzalez book but then got distracted in September. I know there's a month for church history during the Biblical Studies Challenge.......... not sure I'll wait that long to get back into it.
