Those 3 teams really elevated tag team division during the attitude era with those ladder and tlc matches at summerslam and wrestlemanias

Christian is right, most TLC matches post 2000’s were literally more about the spots than about the titles, like the whole reason TLC matches work is if you have a mix of talent whose characters are bent on destruction or about a fierce rivalry.

I will never forgive Vince McMahon for the fact that this man never won the WWE Championship. He never won a Royal Rumble, King of the Ring or even a Money in the Bank despite being in many of those matches where he obviously was the one holding the match together. Christian deserved a huge push before TNA but Vince pushed him so low down the card that he had to leave. He then proved himself with an iconic TNA run yet when he returned Vince locked him up in ECW where he still managed to almost singlehandedly make that show worth watching. One of the most underrated wrestlers ever and one of the best wrestlers ever! The fact that he's still one of the very best in the world both in the ring and on the mic tells you all you need to know about this legend. I really hope he gets a run at the very top in AEW. He deserves to be remembered in the best way possible for all that he gave to wrestling and how he always made sure to make other wrestlers look better than ever throughout his career. Christian Cage deserves for his name to forever be cemented on the list of AEW World Champions!

I feel the triangle ladder match doesn't get enough love. It was basically a tlc match before tlc got it's name

I remember Edge saying that they had to come up with a way to make chairs their thing because Dudleys and Hardys already had their things but Edge and Christian did not. So they kinda forced the whole con-chair-to thing into it.

Unpopular perspective: I could easily see Copeland not returning from this injury. The feud with Christian Cage was a major reason for Copeland to go to AEW. Now that's wound down. What else is there to prove? Hey, I'm as big of an Edge fan as anyone, but I'm also in my 50's and I understand just how much things start to hurt at this age.
@alphanerd7221

That wasn't what he came for. It's just something he had to do because everyone was expecting it and it would have overshadowed everything he did until he got it out of the way.

@@alphanerd7221 Possibly. Either way, he's going to be on the shelf for a long time. That's a lot of time to re-evaluate where he wants to go.

&What does this have to do with the video? Or is expressing how yu think someone should retire, how yu show that yer a fan of them??

@@TheHardys01 Christian was talking about cage matches. Edge/Copeland was injured in one. Obviously the allegory is there as Copeland was Christian's last major feud. I can also be a fan of someone without asking them to permanently cripple themselves for my entertainment. So so sorry you have a different perspective on that.

@@easter_sunday Uh huh, so by your logic, both Edge and Christian should have stayed retired and never gone to AEW. That is what you're implying.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but Christian Cage is by far the most talented out of the original TLC 6. He's a literal 10/10 both in the ring and on the mic! The fact that Vince didn't push him as much as he pushed Adam says more about Vince than it says about Christian.
@alaooooy7

I don't care what anyone says about age or whatever. Christian Cage is still one of the very best in the world today and he must get a run at the very top in AEW! He's a true master of the game. His demeanor, his cadence in a promo and the way he controls the crowd, how he makes everything in a match mean something and how unbelievably professional he is to put so much effort into what he does despite already being one of wrestling's legends! He deserves much more credit than what he gets and I truly hope to see him have an iconic AEW World Championship run!

Nobody knows how to put together a ladder match like Christian Cage. The fact that they put him in so many MITB matches to increase the quality of the matches but never let him win one will always frustrate me. Vince is a biatch for how he treated Christian over the years.
