Six precepts were commanded to Adam: a) the prohibition against worship of false gods; b) the prohibition against cursing God; c) the prohibition against murder; d) the prohibition against incest and adultery; e) the prohibition against theft; f) the command to establish laws and courts of justice. Even though we have received all of these commands from Moses and, furthermore, they are concepts which intellect itself tends to accept, it appears from the Torah's words that Adam was commanded concerning them. The prohibition against eating flesh from a living animal was added for Noah, as Genesis 9:4 states: 'Nevertheless, you may not eat flesh with its life, which is its blood.' Thus there are seven Noahide commandments (Maimonides, Laws of Kings 9:1).

Jesus and Apostles came through Samaria and stopped for water. To their surprise a woman was out at mid-day....and so continues the marvelous conversation where at last Jesus tells her to go and tell the good news to everyone. She is the first missionary. Am I the only one to notice that before the cross, before the betrayal, before the resurrection, a woman is sent by Jesus Himself, the very guy, to tell the good news. The Good News is the visitation of Jesus to History, to us. Had He been welcomed and loved it would have been Better News. It's vital that Christians follow the right guy.

Hi Tovia, have you ever looked at Michael Rood’s chronology of the gospels, namely his commentary and chronological timeline? I recommend it to you and to everyone who watched this video. Michael Rood argues that Yeshua was killed in 28 CE, and that his ministry was 70 literal weeks based on hard data on the moon cycles for that year, and the subtleties of the manuscript evidence. It’s an interesting topic, and I find his arguments very persuasive. I’d be interested in hearing Tovia’s thoughts on his take, even if they are overly biased against the legitimacy of the gospel accounts. I find Michael’s commentary on the chronology of the gospels and how it relates to Daniel 9 the best I’ve ever found. Shalom to Tovia and to all those seeking the truth.

I believe both Judaism and Christianity are cultural records of the past. Since religion isnt really real. What fascinates me about Judaism is that it is a bronze-age religion that survived to the present day. It formed at the same time as the babylonian religions, the Amun religion in egypt, the worship of molock, phoenician religions etc... but all those other faiths are extinct. But judaism remains. Reading jewish religious texts is like travelling back in time to nebuchadnezzar

The belief in a divine trinity is an idolatrous concept, since it is a belief that God (or according to some, a second separate divinity) has characteristic features, and the characteristics of a body. Furthermore, "Satan" is the name of a prosecuting angel in the Heavenly Court. Yet some say that he became an independent ruler over a realm of eternal damnation, and that he acts in opposition to God's will - i.e., that he is a separate god. This idolatrous concept is not even a belief in an intermediary, since it claims that Satan is not under God's control.

Sin came to an end for believers. The text does not say sin comes to an end for everyone, but does not limit for whom sin comes to an end. It is a kind of test of how you interpret the verse. Read one way, as Jews read it, it says one thing, but if you read the verse about making an end of sin like Christians read it, then the verse points to Jesus. This is consistent with what the Greek language Scriptures say. The truth is in the Scriptures, but those same Scriptures were not understood as they were by the apostles and prophets. In other words the Scriptures were hidden intentionally by God. That which is hidden is not hidden from us but for us in due time. Therefore mature Christians will learn to live with a contradiction, Jews will be enemies for the gospel's sake, but beloved for the father's sake. So the prosecution of Jews by Christians is very unChristian, even points to hypocrisy. If you see something in Scripture, you are boasting if you lose patience with those who do not see what you see. The ostrich lays her eggs in the open and leaves them unprotected because God has not given the ostrich wisdom to do otherwise. Yet she can run like a horse. Ultimately, a man's gift is not measured by what he has not, but by what he has. Therefore, every Christian can say, Christ died for sinners of which I am the chief. We don't know what another has, only what we have. Every person shall give an account of what was given in their hand. If you were given much, much will be required. No one has cause to sit back on there former accomplishments. Blessed are those servants whom their Lord when he cometh shall find watching. We are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Salvation is given to us, but we must work out its implications and live like saved people. We have this treasure in earthen vessels. But shall we use I'm only human as an excuse for not exercising diligence, neglecting so great a salvation? We have plenty to do to be ready at all times with our lamps trimmed and burning.

Yet to be fulfilled (Daniel 9:23). Daniel did not have a vision in Daniel 9. The vision is the one in Daniel 8 that will be fulfilled when the 70 weeks are completed - specifically the 70th week.

If, as an extension to the life, death, and resurrection of Yeshua/Jesus Christ we find a massive hidden science, then we can say that Jesus is still proclaiming righteousness today and his work is yet to be completed. That is what is revealed to me and it is breath taking. Our Spiritual nature can be traced back to the Creation of the universe because the entire universe hinges upon a few simple laws which manifest themselves in all the scientific and emotional chaos we are experiencing today...but which are addressed by the accurate teaching of Yeshua. An invisible but superabundant property pervades the entire universe which requires special laws and maintenance to make it beneficial to human life...hence, the Science of Everything...the Science of Righteousness...the Science behind the accurate teaching of Yeshua/Jesus Christ. Ignore him if we must...but the fiery lake of sulphur will not ignore us if we do. It will come as a great rock, not made by hands, it will hover over Israel like an abomination that causes desolation...and those who reject Jesus Christ will find themselves also rejected because it is only his science that can save us.

Trevor Bates, Jesus is not the expected Jewish messiah, he has Failed all the messianic prophecies, the real messiah must be a Descendant of King David, he could not be from David's bloodline because he didn't have biological father.

@trevorbates9017 3 жыл бұрын
@@rtee4086 I would say that Yeshua/Jesus Christ had a biological father as well as a Holy Father. When we come to realise just how advanced the word of God is we realise that to make all issues true we have to take sperm from Joseph and, by the will of God, make it genetically perfect before artificially impregnating Mary with it. That's the problem with modern theology, we just don't appreciate the depth of scientific knowledge is embodied within it...a science made flesh by Yeshua/Jesus Christ.

The Rabbi infers that this passage isn’t about the Anointed One, the Messiah, and that it is referring to the Jewish priesthood, We know that this is about the Anointed One, Moshiach, because v24 says He will “forgive iniquity” (Tanach) Only God can forgive iniquity. The priesthood can not forgive iniquity. Other versions have “to make atonement for iniquity” This is the purpose for which the Messiah came. It is significant that the Anointed One makes atonement for iniquities before the temple is destroyed, and after the temple is destroyed, the Levitical sacrifices for atonement are ended. This all happens in Danial’s 69th week, and v24 will be fully fulfilled at the end of the 70th week, after Jerusalem has gone through the hell of their false messiah.

He Tovia Singer (peace be to the Jewish rabbi of course) just skates over the fact that sin stopping was not a valid marker ... End of transgressions atonement for sin ... Atonement for sin, people getting right with God - .yes. ... Yes that's exactly what Jesus did. ....so that leaves us with the issue that the temple was destroyed and the atonement and transgressions have done exactly what the scripture said for Christian people ... Jesus in the eyes of most people was the best Jew, the world is better and no one would know Jews without Jesus Jesus is the popular Jew. I understand that an anointed one comes up many times different capitalization and different plurals exist. But I also know people in that time were looking for a messiah. They just were. They could count and were looking. Why were Jews looking for a messiah if it was only announced one? I mean anointed one? Don't get me wrong I like Jews and more than westerners ... I like even Moses and Aaron more than trump and Biden ... And especially I like Jesus. I celebrate the Maccabees. I do. Go Maccabees! It's just ... Jesus said it perfectly a Maccabees was named Judas. Judas was the disciple who betrayed Jesus. And Jesus said it was because Judas wanted a Maccabean takeover. That's why Judas betrayed Jesus. Singer ... Is still waiting for his Maccabean conquerer. I celebrate the Maccabees I want that too. But the maccabean vision of the Jewish messiah is the issue. That's what caused Judas to betray Jesus, Judas ... A name of a Maccabee.

Daniel 9 is fulfilled. It can't in any way extend past the temple destruction. Those six things were fulfilled in the first century with Jesus. *Finish transgression* is about the Kingdom of Judah "filling up the measure of transgression" prior to the destruction in judgement - Isaiah 65:7 & Matt. 23:32-35 *End of Sin* doesn't mean people won't ever do bad things. The New Testament shows how God now views sin with respect to Christ's sacrifice. John 1:29 29 ¶ The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who *takes away the sin* of the world!

@Castcreator1 Daniel is pointing to the 40-year generation from the crucifixion in 30/31 AD to the temple destruction in 70 AD. That's why none of Daniel's prophecies extend past that time. Singer mistakenly says Messiah would come *after* the temple destruction, but Malachi 3 & 4 clearly says he would come *to the temple* prior to the destruction of Judah/Jerusalem laid out in ch. 4. Also, The Redeemer in Isaiah 59 coming to those who "repent" already happened. That's why John the Baptist then Jesus were preaching *repent* for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Not a future event as Singer posits. The Tanakh and the New Testament are in complete agreement about the timing of the Kingdom starting at the time of the war with Rome (4th Kingdom in Daniel) and temple destruction. Why would he come after the destruction when the whole idea is to save a remnant (those who repent) from the destruction then usher in the Kingdom?

People in the comments are holding us accountable for all this and I think Rabbi is too. They use such lewd, hateful, and abusive language with Christians. No one says anything about this and neither does Rabbi. I cried so much yesterday about this and so did many other Christians. I am very new to this Rabbi and I wasn't expecting him and his followers to be so hostile when I joined this channel. I wrote him a few comments but he has not replied. The correct Jewish translation with Rashi's commentary is available at the Chabad website free of charge. Hello Tovia. I have to confess that I have become a "unitarian" Christian due to your many other videos on the trinity. This video is very hard for me, though, because of an obvious, implicit, and frightening point: If this passage is indeed covering two different time frames of years (7 weeks and 62 weeks) and the first "anointed prince" after 7 weeks is Cyrus, and the second anointed one that is cut off after 62 weeks [ which coincides with the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple, and for this reason, cannot be Jesus] where is the mention of the third anointed one??? If Jesus was truly THE MESSIAH, shouldn't there at least be some mention of a third anointed one, who will spring forth as the Branch of Jesse, between the other two anointed ones?? Wouldn't this make it crystal clear the third anointed one was THE MESSIAH? It just doesn't make sense to me why this most important mention would be left out. I am going to study Daniel further...surely I feel I have missed something. Please pray for me. Shalom.

@morielrorschach8090
@morielrorschach8090 3 жыл бұрын
So, this explanation does touch on some timeframes that line up, but this explanation does raise a few questions if you really drink in the text and see what applies. Tovia is presenting Daniel 9:25 starts off when the first temple is destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. "After 7 weeks" an anointed prince will come (that being Cyrus). Going by secular dating of a 587 destruction of the temple, the 49th year would be 538 BCE, and the 50th year being 537. And sure enough, the people were allowed to start returning in 537 BCE. Math works out, good. However, there's a few problems: (from the JPS) "Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem unto one anointed, a prince, shall be seven weeks; and for threescore and two weeks, it shall be built again, with broad place and moat, but in troublous times." ... How can the destruction of the temple constitute a "going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem?" Also, if this was a prophecy... pointing to the future arrival of Cyrus... why does chapter 9 start with "In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes?" (The end of chapter 5, beginning of chapter 6 describes the fall of Babylon as "In that night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was slain. And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about threescore and two years old." Suggesting that "Darius the Mede" as either BEING another name for "Cyrus, Son of Cambyses" or at least some sort of co-ruler at the same time as Cyrus. Either way... if Daniel 9:25 were a prophecy that "from the word to restore and to build Jerusalem (by it's destruction, about 2 decades into the captivity), unto an anointed prince will be 49 years" ... but the prophecy was given after that prince was already reigning? Also, if the 7+62 weeks of years (483 years) started at the time of all available records (about 587 BCE)... that would point to 104 BCE. Either the prophecy is wrong, this interpretation is wrong, or history is wrong. For this interpretation to work out that (from the destruction of the temple under Nebuchadnezzar) to (the roman oppression that would lead to the cutting off of the priests, and eventual destruction of the second temple) to be 483 years, leading to 66 CE... the first temple would have to have been destroyed in 418 BCE... which contradicts archeological and historical records from Babylonian sources, Persian sources, Assyrian sources, Egyptian sources, and even Hebrew sources. Since, that's a rather large body of evidence to ignore, and the presumption that bible prophecy being wrong is off the table... it seems like this explanation can't get between those two points. Unless someone can check my math, or point to what I'm missing here?

Just gonna comment here so I can find this post later and do some math to work this out for myself. That’s the issue interpretating scripture, it’s often not plainly obvious… especially when using words like ‘week’ without its usual meaning.

Meaning that during the 4 empires that ruled, that revelation of God’s kingdom is being revealed, as per king of Babylon acknowledging the dream of the statue. From how I understand it the kingdom is not on earth, secondly, the earth is the Lord’s foot stool. The story of the bible is about the jewish people not believing in God, hence their constant punishment. Suffering servant never did violence nor spoke deceit in his mouth, so no it is not Israel. In book of Isaiah the head and tail of Israel God cut off because the tail was the misleading priests and head are the elders. Just making sure history does not repeat itself.
