@@garthlandand seems to be guys like this as an example. It's funny when I see guys like this in interviews, former SAS, Delta Force, green Beret's. They always tend to be laid back unassuming guys. They don't need to puff their chest and be big mouthed ass hole like these so call "Alpha's". These men seem to be humble and down to earth. But they're 100 times more badass than these "Alpha's" will ever be.

The truth is most alphas don't use weapons and most alphas think people who do use weapons arent alphas. If you think about someone like Mike tyson and imagine he's going to jail for murder. It would never be with a weapon, why not? Because he doesn't need one. On the other hand a 4 year old girl could take a gun and kill mike tyson with one shot. Does that mean she's an alpha? Of course not, it means weak people use weapons.

When I was a kid, in a serious conversation. My dad told me "Son when shit hits the fan, look for the man who is calm and collected. That's the man that who will save your life. You should strive to become that man and one day I hope you do. The strong protect the weak. Have the strength to remain calm and use your head." This man absolutely embodies that conversation!

It is usually the quiet humble person, who can be the most dangerous when needed. This young man, yes, I call him a young man, I am 70 years old, and I can refer to him as that. He embodies the best of the best with honor, humility and integrity. The country, no, the world needs more men like him. And like these guys on the podcast, who have their own history and experiences, they have formed a comradery, that the rare groups of people can share. Great podcast and very interesting panel and topic.

So yeah, he got the respect & admiration already. I’ve fully read the judgement. He’s working with the MOD. The book will most likely come out. The rules were introduced following the furore over books by ex-troopers Chris Ryan & Andy McNab which raised the SAS’s public profile & led to concerns over Special Forces troops leaking sensitive information which could compromise future operations. @@bear1245 Indeed this is all correct. I strongly side with the MoD on this to be honest as we do not want to turn into the US with SF being a stepping stone for book deals and fandom. These guys should keep quiet even at the detriment of them not being able to make money off it post-career. It's part of the sacrifice and honor of what they do and they have embodied it in the past until fairly recently (last couple of decades really). It needs to go back to how it used to be, they can make money off their past SF lives by using their skills and knowledge without limelight, things like consultancy, training and private security. I actually don't so much mind the tactics leaking all that much as it gets out anyway from elsewhere as we have to remember 90% of it is shared by personnel in most developed nations anyway.
