in today's entry of Christian girl Diaries, I take you along a week in my life as I learn to embrace my natural hair that God has given me -when all my life I’ve been taught that it wasn’t beautiful, or needed to be hidden with weaves, chemically proccessed, “be done” etc. (putting on the spirit of the world/Jezebel) rather than embracing my my God given hair… which the Bible says is the glory of a woman ♡︎

Girl....i have been wearing the same hair style in my natural hair for 5 or 6 year. I wash my hair in it, every Saturday or Sunday and twist it the same way. I dnt even have to part it. I dnt even look in the mirror until it is done. I dnt care what people think. My hair is now thicker than a snicker and 16 inches long and i wasnt aiming for it to grow just needed to stop waste time. It just happen with two products....BLUE MAGIC AND SHAMPOO. I part it about ten to 13 sections, put black elastic bands at the top, twist then put it in a bun. I rock that for the week. Wash and repeat until i feel like changing for a VERY SPECIAL EVENT.

Having dread locks is not a sin. It's the way the Most High intended our hair to be. Samson's mother was instructed to not cut Samson's hair and form it into 7 locks. But here you are, ignorantly preaching that dread locks is a sin. That God told you to wear your hair this particular type of way, only your way is "natural". Yet your treating your 4c hair like it's not 4c hair, it looks so stressed. You're treating your hair in one of the most white washed ways, but you call that natural. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Also, it's not a sin to wear weave, just like it's not a sin to wear clothes. However, if you put these things above God, it is a sin. So please, it's dangerous to go about saying God told you this and he told you that, when reading the bible and knowing God another person will be able to discern that you aren't being truthful.
