Christian Hammer took on Frank Sanchez on the undercard of the Martin vs Ortiz pay per view on New Years Day at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Hammer, who took the fight on late notice, looked overmatched by Sanchez for the entirety of the fight. Sanchez won by unanimous decision and improved his record to 20-0.

Amazing ppv Pbc! This fight alone was worth the ppv but no you had to spoil us with with a cracking main event too! Big up PBC! I honestly felt injustice that the ppv was only 25 dollars. These gladiators could have gotten paid way more if the ppv price was higher. So next time please put the ppv price up so these warriors can get a bigger ppv cut. Sanchez has Fair basics. He Loops when he punches. He's more about his physical abilities, speed, fair size, coordination, good balance, reach, than crafty or a technician. He's got his own game, though, and has a lot of experience. he's more of a counter puncher/ boxer. Has good accuracy, a good ability to read an opponent. Likes to move/ engage moreso on the back foot .Likes to come in also from the outside rapidly. And then go back out. He does have good speed. His reflexes are very good. I think he's shown best with fighters who come at him. But not a skilled one... I do think he will give the top heavy weights a lot for their money. But he seems to be a front- runner. Ajagba ( for their fight) is one - dimensional, stiff, didn't have the well- rounded set of skills,, nor experience.. Plus,, Ajagba froze. But Sánchez is not championship material. Yet facing a weak champion.....

Joyce was tagged in the first round but he was able to stop Hammer but Sanchez toyed with Hammer and had a good sparring against him, its not always in knockouts. Sanchez is a very good boxer and he will be a problem for any opponent including TOP 10 boxers.
