YES! I watched the videos of his performances at the Menuhin Competition and was impressed by how he used his body language, gestures and movements to conduct while he was the soloist. He has true feeling and strong interpretive skills in his performances. All the right prerequisites to be a conductor, if that's where his heart leads him. However, it will be a terrible loss if he sets aside his violin to take up the baton.

Once again a flawless performance from Christian giving a fresh sound to a well known piece. He is already a master of this instrument, now playing a full size violin. Note perfect as usual and total control. He belies his age with such a mature sound with plenty of expression to his playing. I assume that this is his next recording for Decca Classics with the microphones on the stage. Hopefully we will soon get to hear him record with full orchestras (more than he has done so already) and start to play some of the well known concerto's but seeing what Christian plays he is not afraid to play some of the more obscure pieces.

I feel for young musicians, young people in general, having to contend with the effects of the pandemic on their careers - one year of everything being turned upside down is a big proportion of their lives - well, clearly Christian isn't spending his time in front of the TV but working hard behind the scenes, even though big public performances are not possible at present.
