Hey, I used to take private lessons with Robert Landham from 2010-2012! What a trip seeing him play with Christian McBride, glad he is doing well.

Christian McBride's first lick during his solo is impossible. I'm going to report him to the authorities because no one should be able to play that. I wake up every day and pay my taxes just like everybody else, I don't deserve this type of treatment. Something must be done to stop this man. (this is a compliment and a joke for those who may be questioning lol)

Hi Lance, You're absolutely right. These shows are not zero risk, especially for those that use their lungs to play and those in close proximity to them. Our production staff is at great risk putting these shows on day after day for months with hope they can keep their jobs and keep the venue alive. It's very much on our minds. Being careless about it is not where we are at. You won't have to look far, probably not beyond the comments on this video to find that we aren't only aware we can't please everyone, we aren't interested in pleasing people who don't take this pandemic seriously. We appreciate our viewers, customers, and fans of this music the world over, and appreciate their empathy for what is a fraught situation for institutions that serve them. We do make significant efforts to mitigate risk. If you'd like to see some or talk about some of these measures, check out our website, or feel free to direct message us here. Thanks, and I hope you will enjoy more from us in the future.

how sad to see healthy people wearing mask ...

@ChrisJazzCafePhilly3 жыл бұрын
Hi Luiz, We love our musicians and want them to stay healthy and continue to bring great music to the rest of the world, so we ask that they mask up and keep some space. As you'll find on our channel, they agree. A distinct, true sadness is that we are in a situation where this pandemic has brought an enormous death toll to society's most vulnerable, who cannot survive without leaving the safety of their keyboard warrior battlestations. It is rather a joy that we are able to make something so normally pleasant as collaborative, in person live music with each other at this time. Thanks for understanding. I hope you can enjoy more of our videos despite our respect for our musicians' health and well being.
