there is not much that can be said about such an amazing perfumer. his compositions are incredible. his stage presence is astounding. he is so personable. I have been a fan since the moment I heard him. I just wish more black people had an appreciation for jazz music. I am black and I get so frustrated with the youth of today that only listen to rap and new age soul music!

Maaaaaaaannnnnnn....I love the way they "e-nun-cia-ted" the punches on Easy Walker, exemplifying the "easy" as in eeeasy but not too greeeesy stipulation of Easy Walker!!! Loved it as well as everything else these superb cats expressed with panache and grace for an evening of superlative Jazz that hits me in the boo boo of satisfaction!!!

Eduardo Roxo Nobre Son, you didn't hear of Kenny Kirkland. true, he had few recordings, you had to be newyorker to know Kenny

+illuminati You think no one outside NY knew who Kenny Kirkland was? His 6 albums w/ Sting aside, he was on 29 jazz albums as a sideman. Plus he was w/ Branford on the Tonight Show. Regardless, what's that got to do w/ Christian Sands' place in jazz?

It's hard to say that any artist is better than another, but when it comes to Christian McBride it's safe to say that he's better than most artist...and he's definitely better than most, if not all, jazz bass players.

I detected Ahmad Jamal's arrangement of Cherokee with the waltz time feel of the bridge which is a wonderful contrast to the double feel of the rest of the tune! Liked what they did with Triste too!
