Bell actually has the highest average all purpose yards per game in NFL history. He is currently on track to be one of the greatest of all-time, just saying. Also, at 6'1 and 225 I don't see how Bell is putting up "massive gains in mass." Thats the same weight as Zeke. Research > Assumptions.

IMO Christian McCaffrey should have definitely won the Heisman, and not just because of his insane numbers and records broken, but also due to the fact that as an individual player he had a greater impact on his team and any other player in college football player more than Derrick Henry did. Derrick Henry was a beast no doubt, but I'm sorry when you're lining up behind Alabama's offensive line, that plays a major factor in determining how much more you get to run up field. Personally I think the fact that MccAffrey was a white RB gave him a disadvantage over Henry because the NCAA was afraid of the accusations that could have potentially been made if a white RB had gotten the Heisman over a black RB, and how people would claim that the only reason he got picked was because he the NCAA and "white America" wanted to have a white RB from today's generation win the Heisman. Therefore it would probably cause racial tension among minorities, which is fucking bullshit because the only reason he should have won had nothing to do with race. It had to do with the fact that MccAffrey had the best season out of anyone else in college football, and his numbers back that up. I'd be saying the same thing too if he were black, or hispanic, or Samoan, or Asian or any other race/ethnicity. I mean yeah obviously this kid is one in a million given that we never see white RBs, or at least not ones at his skill level, but that has nothing to do with why he should have won the Heisman. Now did I want to see a white RB win the Heisman? Yes I did, but NOT because I wanted to see a white guy win more than a black guy. It had nothing to do with that whatsoever. It was just because if he's already confirmed to be the best player, and he just so happens to be white, then it would be great to get just one white RB in there, given that we know it will never likely happen again. It's the same reason I was happy to see a black QB like RG3 or Jameis Winston win the award, because if we've already established the fact that they're the best players that season, then I might as well be happy that they're situation also goes against racial stereotypes, and shows that the best player will win regardless of color. If there had been a couple white players next to MccAffrey eligible to win the award instead of Henry then I think MccAffrey would have been picked to win. Anyways Derrick Henry was definitely the next pick behind MccAffrey, so I'm happy for him, but I feel Christian MccAffrey was robbed of what was rightfully his. However, I will fully admit that Henry played in the SEC, which overall is a tougher conference than the PAC 12, so Henry wasn't far behind MccAffrey.

As an African-American male, I take absolutely no offense to your comment/ assertion (more like the truth tbh), and agree with you in full...there's always politics involved in regards to who gets "what" and for "what reason", whether it be race, marketability, media preference etc... at the end of the day, College sports, the NCAA, is nothing more than a corporate entity that understands its constituents, and looks to exploit societal norms and expectations to profit. Building off of this point, I think that their should be racial quotas for all teams, meaning that they should not be dominated, in their entirety, by predominantly one race. It would create for more diverse teams with uniquely difft backgrounds, as well as break down barriers. Further, I would argue that college athletes deserve to be paid, or at the least, offered a stipend to which they can utilize as they see fit. It is unethical and immoral to utilize young men and women for your school and the NCAA's profit and not provide them with an education on how to make a living following their athletic career. Coaches/Universities promise kids and indirectly their families a route to the pros, essentially a guaranteed income and a method to leave the ghettos, only to leave them in disappointment, when, rather uneventfully their child is cut from the team, receives little playing time and therefore, exposure (due to more politics) and ultimately never makes it to the pros, lest has a legitimate degree to support making an income. College sports and indeed captivating and entertaining, but behind the façade we see lies a plethora of politics and deceit.

If that were the case every team would get a 250lb back and have the same success as Henry right?? Barry Sanders is one of the best..but so is Herchel Walker..and Derrick beat his long standing record. Both the guys were very deserving of the award including Watson. Let's see those guys continue their domination and I assure you they will be rewarded. Don't be so narrow minded and just appreciate talent..I sure as hell enjoyed watching McCaffrey this year along with many other.

+tony195869 It's really much more sad that color plays a part in the first place. It's much worse of an offense to consider color but to never to mention it, because that's how racism and stereotypes flourish. McCaffrey should have *easily* won the Heisman. Henry is damn good, but he had a killer O-Line, yard gaps to punch, 2 more years experience, and prime time games. McCaffrey is making most his gains on the proper use of the leading tackle, ankle breakers that would leave most NFL DB's dizzy, through tiny gaps where one or two arms are failing to nab him, and airing at about midnight or 2AM for most people unless they recorded Stanford games (Zzzzzzz). It's clear that there was a transparent impact.

At speed positions, especially. It's not a comfortable discussion to have, but as it relates to the running back, wide receiver, or defensive back, it's very valid. You rarely see successful white players at those positions (although in Christian McCaffrey's case, his father Ed was a wide receiver who played 13 seasons in the NFL, nine with Denver when he started alongside Rod Smith. Broncos fans know who his father is.

McCaffrey is a great athlete and definitely has a bright future if he stays healthy. I'm excited to watch him next year. It's really aggravating though to see so many Stanford fans hating on Henry. I understand yall wanted McCaffrey to win the Heisman but come on..saying "Henry had all those yards because all the carries he got". Hell that's the beauty of it..the other team knew he was coming and still couldn't stop him. If it weren't for him Alabama wouldn't have won another championship. But I assure you if McCaffrey continues to do his thing he will be holding up a Heisman trophy next year. Sorry to ramble, good luck to Stanford next year!

@Dontae_777
@Dontae_777 7 жыл бұрын
Becky Parr murray a free agent after the season and we only have 41 mill in cap next year and mack and carr are to have big contracts signed next season and carr will mostly likely get 20 mill a year and and mack might want about 15 mill well that leaves us with 6 mill left with not enough money to resign him so thats why

As much a Vol and Jalen Hurd fan as I am, McCaffrey is who I hope to see a lot this year. Hopefully I can catch some Stanford games online. Come on Fall! Nothing like College Football - no matter WHO is playing.

Tape shows elite agility and burst, above-average long-speed; he'll probably impress at his Combine. Great hands in the pass-game, of course. My concern is that he needs to put on more weight without losing any speed if he wants to be a starting running-back in the NFL. At least 10 pounds, preferably 15-20. Right now his BMI is way too low.

I don't understand why everyone is so shocked that he's white.. cuz let's say there's a black kid that's a super genius and a bunch of white people are saying "wow, he's black and he's doing that?" Us black folks would get pretty upset about that wouldn't we?

I give the kid props he can run and he's smart about finding the gaps. That's good and another thing he try's to avoid getting hit when if needed that's also a plus but in the NFL that changes cause it's really hard to avoid getting hit so idk know how that's gonna play out for him because pockets aren't always presentable you have to make your own and the outside runs aren't always gonna be there
