The scripture you are quoting in Hosea 3:4-5 is primarily a prophecy addressed to the Northern Kingdom of Israel who went into exile and became "the lost 10 tribes" without temple or any of the rituals of their faith. God said He would disperse them and He also said He would regather them. Hosea goes on to talk about the regathering of Ephraim/Israel (Northern Kingdom): Hosea 14:1-9. Note v4..."I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely, For My anger has turned away from HIM" (Ephraim/Israel/10 Tribes) Ezekiel 36:33-38 is poetic in its description of the regathering of Ephraim. So much so that one can feel the "energy" of the rebuilt cities in the Kingdom of God... "Thus says the Lord God: “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will also enable you to dwell in the cities, and the ruins shall be rebuilt. The desolate land shall be tilled instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass by. So they will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the wasted, desolate, and ruined cities are now fortified and inhabited.’ Then the nations which are left all around you shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken it, and I will do it.” ‘Thus says the Lord God: “I will also let the HOUSE OF ISRAEL inquire of Me TO DO THIS FOR THEM: I will increase their men like a flock. Like a flock offered as holy sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem on its feast days, so shall the ruined cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they shall know that I am the Lord." I feel that's why Jesus said: "Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, 'Look, here it is! ' or 'There! ' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” Matthew 17:20-21. So, regardless of where the majority, deceived & lawless "church" is NOW, there is no denying that in the 1st Century the sect of Judaism called, "the Way" was supernaturally energized and teachings from the Hebrew scriptures were disseminated amongst both those in Judea (house of Judah) and others (Matthew 15:24...and to the ends of the earth). The name of the true God, His character, renown and the redemptive theme have spread far and wide because: Isaiah 42:1-9. Anyway, do you believe there is NO possibility that God and the Prophet meant what I've proposed, for this "portion" of scripture? 😇

Since a messiah is supposed to be cut off 3.5 years before the great catastrophe that marks the end of the 490 years and the beginning of the full exile, then J can't be the messiah because his death occurs about 37 years prior to the destruction. That's not an inaccuracy, but is off by an order of magnitude. Christians like to ignore that Daniel 9 talks about 2 different messiahs, but if they are both the same guy then he had to live for over 385 years as even if the 7 weeks and 62 weeks were parallel to each other as Christians claim, that would be a 55 week difference between him appearing and getting cut off. If that was J it would mean that he was born 455 years before the destruction of the second temple, which would mean that he was born before king Herod, before the establishment of the Hasmonean kingdom, before the 2nd Temple was even built, before the concepts of Pharisee and Sadducee were invented. That would completely destroy all the stories in the NT. Therefore Daniel 9 can't be talking about Mr. J.

It's actually referring to the people of Israel who left 3.5 years and ran quickly to Pella in 67 ad just before Titus made his way to Jerusalem. It's not referring to one man as a Messiah. All the anointed, called and chosen are referred to as God's Anointed saved from his wrath. They were cut off (left) the land of the living by leaving Judah. A person who lives in a place where the norms of behavior are bad, and the inhabitants do not follow the straight path, should move to a place where people are righteous and conduct themselves in good ways. If the residents in all the places he is familiar with or hears reports about follow improper paths, or if valid reasons hinder him from moving to a place where the modes of behavior are proper, he should remain secluded from the bad people around him - as it is stated: "Let him sit alone and be silent." Then if it happens that the wicked and sinful people there will not allow him to stay unless he mingles with them and follows their evil behavior, he should "go out to caves, thickets or deserts, rather than follow the paths of sinners."

If you do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah, you still need to offer sacrifices, but it is difficult to find priests in the Jewish community today, which means that even if you want to offer sacrifices, you cannot do so. Why does God not allow you to offer sacrifices? Israel can’t rebuild the temple, or the tabernacle today. Why? Because you can’t make the candlestick of pure gold again. Why doesn't God allow you to rebuild the temple, or the tabernacle today? If you want to rebuild the temple, you need the ark, the golden pot of manna, and Aaron's rod. Otherwise, it is meaningless. You don’t have these, this is why you can’t rebuild the temple now. When Jesus is coming, God will give you these to rebuild the temple.

"Afterward, the children of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days" (Hosea 3:4-5). King David is dead, so some say that he will resurrect and become king again, but the David in Ezekiel 34:23-24; 37:24-25 refers to a "prince" (a son of David) who becomes king. The sealed portion of the Ezekiel Tablets (the original copy taken from Ezekiel's Tomb) say it will be David, Son of David, who comes, which clearly indicates there are two different Davids (and neither one is the Messiah mentioned in Daniel 9, because the prophetic time was fulfilled by AD 70. This David, Son of David, comes when the Gihon splits the Mt. of Olives (Zechariah 14:4), which clearly has not happened yet. There is also a Prince Michael who will likewise appear at the End of Time when Daniel resurrects (1335 Days, Daniel 12); perhaps Prince David and Prince Michael are the same person, if it is someone with both names. "Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence." (John 18:36) "From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day." (Matthew 16:21) "And after 62 weeks shall Messiah be cut off [killed], but not for himself..." (Daniel 9:26) Being killed not for oneself is to be a "sacrifice" for others, and sacrifice is used to put an end to sin (Daniel 9:24). 62 Weeks = 434 years (from Cyrus Decree until Herod destroys and rebuilds Temple in 17 BC, Josephus: Antiq:15:11:1) 7 Weeks = 49 years (from Herod's Temple until Jesus crucified in AD 33) "46 years" plus 3 Passovers (John 2:20) 70th Week begins with Covenant (Peace Treaty between Prince Vespasian and Sepphoris in AD 66) Middle of 70th Week (sacrifice stops due to siege, Temple destroyed by Prince Titus, whose father is now Emperor) End of 70th Week (7 year war ends at Masada, so Peace Treaty ends at 7 years) 390 Days = Israel leaves Jerusalem (Ezekiel 4:5) Rehoboam splits the kingdom and leaves Jerusalem (1 Kings 12:18-19) 40 Days = Judah leaves Jerusalem (Ezekiel 4:6) Zedekiah carried to Babylon (2 Kings 25:7; Jeremiah 52:11; Ezekiel 12:1-13) 70 Years = The Glory of the Lord and the ARK leave Jerusalem for Qumran (Jeremiah 25:11-12; 29:10; Ezekiel 10) [All 3 of these intervals end at the same time with the return of the Exiles]

Rabbi, I am a practicing Christian pastor at odds with Trinitarian view. My convictions I find consistent with the Gospels. It seems christ never led people to him as much as he was very clear he was Leading them to the father. I followed Christ to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I don’t worship Christ as God but I do accept he has been appointed by God as the High Priest of my soul to receive my prayers and intercede on my behalf with the father. I also accept bc of Christ I too can speak to my father directly. You don’t seem to accept my version of Christianity as legitimate. If not, can you elaborate?

For me it was the self-slapping doctrine of the Trinity…..and the whole thing came down. 🎉
@Eastra3Ай бұрын
The Trinity isn't even biblical from an OT or NT perspective, Christian or not. Christians shouldn't even support the trinitarian idea, because there are 10x more verses that show that Jesus is not on the level of the most high in the NT alone. Trinitarianism was forced on the Bible in the council of Nicaea, and funny enough, even forcing the Trinity to be the view that deified Jesus, they still couldn't even the odds in terms of the verses that destroy Trinitarianism. Matter fact, that may be why a lot of books were kept out of the Bible, because those books also support that Jesus wasn't the Most High. The son of man (The Messiah) is supposed to be the one who is set to rule the earth, while the Most High still rules the universe. IF YOU DON'T SEE A REPLY to @mwola, it was removed or reported. The reply was: - Daniel 7:9-14 - Daniel 10:4-21 - Matthew 24:30-36 - 1 Corinthians 15:15-28 Revelation 1: whole chapter

@@mwola I will leave you with these few verses, but just know there are 20+ more like them. Daniel 7:9-14 Daniel 10: 4-21 Matthew 24:27-36 1 Corinthians 15:1-28 Revelations 1: the whole chapter The verses that prove my point are in each one, but I gave you more verses surrounding them, because I don't want to be accused of giving you verses out of context. Also, some of the chapters make my point several times, but are spread out, so I have to give you just about the whole chapter. After you have read these verses, you will understand that Christians ( I too am one) confuse the Messiah with God, because the Messiah is very powerful like God, given power even above the angels, but is not God, and while the Son of Man will be our eternal ruler, he still brings us under the complete power of the Universal one, the Father...EL. I once also believed in the Trinity, so I understand where you are coming from, but now I understand that it is not the truth. Even if you do not come to see that truth, you still seek to worship the true God, so its not a salvation issue because you mistook the son for being the father. In the end we will all see we were right and wrong in some of our beliefs, but something we all have in common is that we seek to worship the true God. So peace be with you my friend.

It is clear and explicit in the Torah itself (the Five Books of Moses) that it is God's commandment that remains in its original form forever without change, addition, or diminishment - as it is stated, "All these matters which I command to you, you shall be careful to perform. You may not add to it or diminish from it;" and as it is also stated, "What is revealed is for us and our children forever, to carry out all the words of this Torah." This teaches that we are commanded to fulfill all the Torah's directives forever, to the full extent that we are able to do so. It is also said: "It is an everlasting statute for all your generations," and, "It is not in the Heavens." This teaches that a prophet can no longer truthfully claim that he has been told by God to add a new permanent precept as being commanded by God. See Deuteronomy 13:1, Ibid., 29:28, Leviticus 23:14, Deuteronomy 30:12.

About ancestry tracing: We have a society for people who trace their ancestry to David. Rabbi Singer and other men have been identified via DNA as descendants of Levi. Y-DNA does not mutate as quickly as other types. Most Jewish men and many Arab men trace their lineage to one Middle Eastern man who lived about 4000 years ago. I wonder who that might be? Oh yeah, because he is following Jeremiah's prophecy mentioned in the beginning of the chapter. So Jeremiah's prophecy says "For thus saith the LORD: After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will remember you, and perform My good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place." So when the angel says "from the word to restore Jerusalem" it means from Jeremiah's prophecy which was given just before the destruction of the first temple and before the city was completely ruined and all Jews were exiled. There were seven weeks left (between 49-55 years, ended up being 52) until Cyrus commanded to rebuild it. 18 years before the complete destruction and exile, Nebuchadnezzar became king and started exiling them slowly in groups. After those 18 years Jerusalem was completely destroyed. From the moment it was destroyed (the same time of the word from Jeremiah) 52 years remained to complete to 70. Those 52 years are the seven weeks (7×7=49. Now those extra 3 years can't be counted as a week so it's still 7 weeks not 8) at the end of those 52 years Cyrus commanded to rebuild Jerusalem. That's why the word= Jerusalem's destruction. Hopefully it made sense because I was struggling a bit with the explanation 😂

masiah nagid. Could be translated anointed leader or anointed prince. The interpretation of the scripture's meaning is open to debate and has been for two thousand years. But there is a similarity in views between some Rabbinical scholars and some Messianic Jews (Christians) regarding the messiah concept in this age: a man will arise claiming that title and a temple will be rebuilt. (The Muslims also are looking for a similar messianic figure.) But by the Messianic Jewish interpretation, this person will be a false messiah and there will be a false peace, leading to tragedy for Jerusalem. Upon which the true Messiah will return in glory.

Parts of the Temple still exist; the Temple is non-functional, but it was never entirely lost. Jesus was not the christ/messiah as evidence by his anti-Torah teachings and actions. See “the gospels.” The descendants of Aaron can be identified by DNA. I expect that the descendants of David could be identified the same way. I have recently learned that my own family includes ancestry from David. You don’t have to worry. The G’d of Israel is neither a man nor a trinity. Obey the seven Laws of the Covenant of Noah and be happy.

You only find this in Johns gospel. The church fathers say that John said he would write a spiritual gospel, not a historical one. It’s actually not really about Jesus but about the Logos, a term coined by Philo, a hellenised Jew to harmonise the Torah as divine reason with Greek philosophy. Jesus is the personified Torah, the first born of God. Jesus himself clearly wanted to take the throne and failed. In the garden of Gethsemane he sweat blood because he realised he failed and was facing execution because Rome would not tolerate a rival king. It seems, though, that he received some revelation during prayer as to why he failed but still was puzzled why it all went wrong. At the cross he still felt abandoned, his last words “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me”. Later John replaced these words with “It is finished” spiritualising his death as being something that was planned from the beginning. Instead of an earthly kingdom it now became a spiritual one. In a way thus it became possible to prepare the gentile world to embrace the Torah and the messiah when he comes.

It's real simple and I am a Muslim. Jews do not accept Jesus as king and as sacrifice. And he is not a Jewish temple sacrifice. This is the prediction of the exile after the Roman destruction of the Temple. Jews have been completely devoid of the necessities of their religion. Then in the End of Days the tribes will come together and will accept Jesus as the king. This is the meaning in all Christian exegesis for those waiting for a literal second coming.
