Individuality has discernment of its power, that it can corrupt those of little knowledge or understanding of the information it provides . Be careful of who you follow if you do not know the knowledge they teach.

Out of all the people i know, atheists and agnostics represent more of the teachings of christ than my Christian friends
@Ryooken22 күн бұрын
I doubt that but both are a misnomer. Atheists are no more moral than anyone else, and just because someone claims to be a Christian does make them one. This woman doesn't know that in Catholic school the bible is part of the curriculum. State run schools aren't because they are state run, therefore, they must practice freedom of religion. These ignorant people should know that religious schools teach religion as part of the students education. God I hate ignorant stuff like this.
@FishRfun22 күн бұрын
@Ryooken you have zero evidence to back that up. First, you don't know my friends. 2nd you don't know their morals, ethics, beliefs, etc. So how can you possibly be making that statement?
@Ryooken22 күн бұрын
@@FishRfun What evidence would you like? Unless you can speak on every Atheist out there and you can't you cannot claim superior morality. That is impossible particularly since some Atheists are hedonists. Atheists is a broad based term of people that don't believe in the existence of a divine being. I will bite what is the universal moral code of the Atheist? Where is your manifesto of morality? As for people who profess Christianity without actively practicing it, that's everywhere. There is plenty of evidence of it.

If I were one of those teachers I'd teach the parts of the bible that I know the right doesn't want taught. That Jesus said we should feed the starving, house the homeless, give to charity, and take care of immigrants. Then when the kids go home and see their parents and pastors being the exact opposite they'll question and hopefully realize the truth.
@charlesmbennett000021 күн бұрын
I believe it was to teach the immigrants, Not to take care of them, so in their countries they would learn to give to the poor, and give housing,food and clothing, and care for the sick. We in America have not even applied this as a nation.only poor taking care of the poor it seems.

But I do not believe that preaching and/or forcing a certain religion onto kids is a good idea in public schools. Where I’m from, that’s what church and Sunday school was for. And catholic schools. And I believe 100% that religion has no place in politics at all. Politicians are supposed to care for all citizens. Not just the ones with whom they share religious beliefs. But then, they'd have to admit to being amoral while going to Church. The preacher and the Churches' members believe since they (christians) have been saved, they can do no wrong. Hence, their morals are the right morals. When, if you truly take a long look at religion in history, you will find it is the cause most taken by those most Immoral in society. The crusades? Land grabs for the Church. Inquisition? Eliminating the competition. Even the ten commandments are basically 'shut up and obey'. Controls, and immorality, from the supposedly most moral people there is. HAH.

Prayers back in school is a straw man. Any kid in any class can say a prayer. The school can’t mandate or strongly encourage prayer to be done by staff of students. That is a VERY different point. And everyone should demand it stay that way.
