Adidas Tyshawn 2 Shoe Review & First Impressions

It's funny, I've watched a few reviews on the Tyshawn 2 before your one came out and they've all seemed to say the same thing now. The 1st one appears to be a better buy. Thanks for another awesome first impression, as always!

When I first saw these drop on CCS I was hella disappointed in them. 100 dollars for a low top to me isn't really justifiable even more so with it's cushion yet up, it has Lightstrike. I've felt the Lightstrike cushion before in the Harden Vol.4s back when I played basketball and it was mediocre at best. If this was a mid top like the first model I might say 100 is okay but, for a low top like this with all the facts you've marvelously stated, this is a hard pass on me. I'm gonna scoop up as many Tyshawn 1s I can now! Stay awesome out there Christian! I'm eyeing those insoles.

I don't know, I kind of loved the Tyshawn 1's and when I put these on... the fit on the OG Tyshawn's is just perfect. Flick is good once you get used to it, and the heel flips are so easy and buttery to flick. These felt like they were very bottom heavy but didn't have the fit to support the weight of the sole. Returned them and getting some of the first Tyshawns.

Thanks for the review! The leather is going to wear but slow down after that thin white first layer because that is the nature of pigmented/painted grain leather. If you look at the side of the leather in the toe, you can see that the cross section is entirely a tan/natural color and only the very top grain leather has white pigment. Suede leather is basically all the fibers below the outer layer of full-grain leather. Most skate shoes are made of suede so they already have that top layer shaved down to the grain structure. With this type of leather you are just breaking into the suede over time. So the wear should (and will) happen to the outer layer of pigment but the underside suede will remain very durable like any other suede.

this is what it felt like skating the Nader sambas. they scraped off pretty quick to the point of looking really rough but the leather actually lasted what felt like forever

@@christianflores yeah for sure. Imagine if you took your fave suede shoe and painted a thin layer of white out over the whole thing. Once you scraped through the white out it would look like it’s wearing fast but it’s really just a thin layer on top.

It’s just a thin layer painted leather on top, it’s not falling apart that’s the suede underneath.

Yeah. I’ll see how they hold up. But all the stitches are falling out around the toe box. And it’s starting to come off already. I’ll skate more next week and check back.

Yeah I agree with you on the fit. I tried them on in store and even I tied them up really tight they were slipping off still. Had to pass even tho I think they look sick

Correct any of this where wrong, not sure everyone who has gotten shoes or not, not counting color way memes. *Also that would require reading this brick of text which understandably NOBODY is, all good lmao.🤠 (Tldr Miles for sure should have gotten a shoe for a WHILE now smh.) The Tyshawn's are already proven for almost a decade to sell so they have that to go off of and him constantly being in the limelight. Same with Nike really too, what Are there like legit 5 Pro models at any given time? Shane doesn't even have a shoe any more for a while now, Janoski's left for a minute and now are back, but that shoes a staple proven to sell shoe so that may never leave if sells stay up and they may have did that to boost the price of them by making them scarce for the time being I'd suspect, since there is no reason to at all try to get rid of one of their most successful shoes. Koston been without a shoe, P ROD doesn't and hasn't had a shoe for how long? The dunk color way doesn't count, and even then that was some time ago now. Luan never had a shoe before leaving. As you stated Miles Silvas Kader, no shoe, Just color ways FELIPE GUSTAVO???? Diego Najara (a color way in the Sablo) Rodrigo TX Mark Sucio Don't get me started on Nike and the same thing lmao. Notice YUTO only has gotten a color way. It's part marketing, and opportunity vs JUST skill sadly because then so many all over would and should by that standard have shoes, more than color ways. *assuming they can cook something up, it manages some success, and all the business things that need to take hold even if the person is the most deserving. At the same time he has the 1's the LOWS, and the 1's Remastered now these 🤣 Can anyone else eat??? Again that's assuming they legit can only have like 5 Pro models, I'd imagine the reason Nike and Adidas/others do it, more so them since they have the money, do it for some legit reason. I can understand smaller companies and Nike and Adidas can't give EVERYONE pro models, but no one is calling for that so I wonder what they'd say? I think in part color ways are a way to test the marketability of a skater but not much comes of that it appears regarding getting an actual shoe. I feel like the Puig and Businetzs been around FOREVER/are a staple for them, and I'm not sure how active Denis is or has been for a long time so it may be more so the sales? Plus he has 2 Pro models to my knowledge, BOTH staples and been around forever. Obviously if they do sale that's gonna take priority, and I'm not dictating who and who should not have a shoe based solely on XY&Z or being as active as others, especially when older. I think it's dope they can still bring in a profit as they age, I'm just pointing out how they may think in part about these things based on how they limit who has pro models, which I again can only guess at and feel more should have a shoe potentially or be given the chance to see if it sells or not. *And I guess to some degree I am arguing there are more who should have a shoe based on what we'd use as markers of relevancy and talent, but not giving any particular person priority or trying to take away from those that do.
