Best lesson ever! I love the characterization of jazz chords in the left and blues in the right. There is so much foundational help, along with teaching the actual how-to. Excellent! I’m sure I can do this now - a sound I’ve always wanted to understand a play. Thanks so much.

This is really wonderful and I'm looking forward to the song this weekend which incorporates this. What I would also find really helpful is a video of right hand blues in C improvising. Something to show us ways to tie together all the pieces - magic triangle, drone lick, royal thirds, major/minor scale - into longer lines. Especially over 2 or more octaves. That's where I struggle. My lines go up or they go down. Yours go down, then up, then back down, then up a bit, then back down again and you use all of your bag of tricks in a single long line. I would like to watch that process in slow motion. THANKS!

@stephenbellotti2036
@stephenbellotti2036 2 жыл бұрын
@@ChristianFuchsBlues I will keep looking! I think the problem is that you give too much! But my specific problem is that my longer lines always sound like dinky scale play. A good example of what I don't ever do, but want to be able to do is minute 24:57 in this video. I slowed that one down and I can easily see what you did. So that one is helpful to me. I noted another one I liked in your advanced Stormy Monday video. But even slowing that one down, I can't quite figure it out. If there was a trick or an a-ha moment to creating those kinds of more sophisticate lines that don't sound like a beginner hitting one blues scale note after another, I would definitely pay for a Patreon video on that. But perhaps I am just impatient and need to noodle more, listen to others more and practice more! And then I will figure out my own a-ha moment. Anyway, sincere thanks for everything you've already given which is more than enough!
