Re: your quote about not ignoring the known facts, I asked "Copilot" the AI search. This was their response: "The phrase you mentioned is often associated with the French historian Marc Bloch. Bloch was a prominent figure in the field of historical studies and emphasized the importance of rigorous research and factual accuracy in understanding the past. His work, including his influential book “The Historian’s Craft,” underscores the idea that history should be based on verifiable evidence and not veer into speculation or myth[2]." So the answer would be Marc Bloch as the source of "History is an art that must not ignore the known facts."

**** VERY IMPORTANT ***** You did a wonderful job !!! A lot of these preachers and so-called preachers that The Word warns us ; Mathew 12:36; But I say unto you, That EVERY IDLE WORD that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. In Deuteronomy, chapter 12 God clearly explains why tithing is and how to give it then at the end of the chapter, he gives us a warning !!! Deuteronomy 12:32; What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. Teaching the people that The “ NEW COVENANT CHURCH “ is to pay a tithe in the form of money ( mammon) is ADDING to God’s Word. And at the same time teaching the people that the church building is the storehouse which there is no scripture for that but yet they deposit that same money into the bank so in reality, the bank is become the store house ???? it is nowhere in the Scriptures were God’s storehouse is a pagan financial institution/system !!!! Which is also adding to God’s Word. You see when you tell a lie you have to tell another lie to cover that lie.

My history class in high School (parochial) , our professor began by saying that history shows that God desires all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the Truth. I've never forgotten that in the 55 years since that first class. I'm looking to this series.

The foundation of our faith is based on historical events: the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ which reveals He is the Son of God. It's crazy to me how some believers and preachers challenge this.

Gbu bro and sis Today let's study about blessings through tithing.....when we study the history of the garden of Eden..we come to know that Satan tempted people to go against god's Will..with the power of darkness .Whose command should we follow..god's command or Satan's???... Whose command is the law of Tithe?...Malachi 3:7..Tithing us a command of God.., Satan deceives people so that they cannot practice tithes...if we are deceived by Satan and do not Tieth it's results is pain and death... To give us eternal blessings and lead us to the kingdom of heaven... God has given us the law of Tithe.Whose command should we follow???..To whom should we give this precious tithe???... Leviticus 27:30... A tithe of everything belongs to God, so it must be offered to God not to Satan...what should we do in order to give tithe only to god?? We should follow the teachings of the Bible..(The Bible teaches us to give tithes to Melchizedek)..…Whom does the Melchizedek represent???..Heb7:1.. Melchizedek represents god without beginning of days or end of life..(He blesses us through bread and wine).. Inorder to present offerings to the true God, we must know who the true God.Only when we present offerings to the true God, we can receive the true blessings..thr offerings given to Satan are nothing but materials which cannot bring us blessings...there fore only when s tithe is offered to melchizedek, it can be regarded as s true offering and brings us blessings..lets practice tithes correctly and receive blessings from God...

Below is what is considered to be a more accurate translation from Josephus. It is an Arabic translation that does not have all of the added text that the Church put in. at this time there was wise man who was called Jesus. And his conduct was good, and he was known to be virtuous. And many people from among the Jews and the other nations became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified and to die. And those who had become his disciples did not abandon his discipleship. They reported that he had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion and that he was alive; accordingly, he was perhaps the Messiah concerning whom the prophets have recounted wonders.

The best way to interpret Scripture is to compare Scripture with Scripture. Can we do this with Acts 2:38? Yes, we can! Note Acts 10:43-48 where we have a passage that matches Acts 2:38. Comparing both passages phrase for phrase, you will conclude both offer salvation by faith only. Notice that the result of salvation in both passages is the remission of sin and the gift of the Holy Spirit. The two conditions of salvation are also the same in both passages. First, both Acts 2:38 and Acts 10:43 demand a change of mind about who is Jesus Christ. Acts 10:43 says He is one to whom all the prophets gave witness. What Peter says demonstrates the same truth in Acts chapter 2 by quoting the prophets Joel and David to prove his point. Secondly, Acts 10:43 has "through His name whosoever believeth in Him" as a condition of salvation. This is equivalent to the condition of Acts 2:38 to "be baptized (washed) in the name of Jesus Christ." So we find the phrase "Be baptized (washed) in His name," which means the same as "through His name believe in Him." Also, please notice that Acts 2:38 tells us the Holy Spirit is received as the gift of God. If we had to do anything of ourselves to receive the Holy Spirit, it would not be a gift. Remember Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." To insist upon repentance which in any sense includes a change of conduct either toward God or man is to add an element of human effort to faith. This would contradict all clear Scripture on this matter such as Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 4:5; Galatians 2:16; and others. To insist upon water baptism in Acts 2:38 would make the remission of sins and the receiving of the gift of the Holy Spirit dependent upon the human work of water baptism. This would be inconsistent with Acts 10:43-44, where the remission of sin and the gift of the Holy Spirit are received as the result of faith only. The Bible would contradict itself and we would be left confused. Have you recognized Jesus Christ as the Savior which died for your sins, was buried and was raised from the dead? Have you been washed of your sins in His name? (See I Corinthians 6:11). If not, then trust Jesus Christ as your Savior today and receive the remission of your sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

What about the real life application on this? The main stream church goers subscribe to the idea that it's the pastor's job to teach, not the parents. We are not learned to know the Bible. Most get upset when l tried to sit down with then to read the Bible. They think that we should be ignorant but only pastors know the texts. This is the first roadblock I encounter mostly among so called believers whom I can't reason why we must dive into the Bible firstly for our own growth and then to teach our children. This is one thing we can't talk about over a dinning table. It's rare to have the opportunity to do this. Having said this, there is opportunity to do so with a very few in my circle. Most do have their fixed view rightly or wrongly. Most have severe difficulty to discuss ideas that differ from their already adopted view. I think the church goers are at large very uncomfortable to dive into the texts.

I will ask all Christians, specifically for those that believe in hell, to please, as a thought experiment to try to believe in something that you don't? For example take vampires, fairy's, big foot, santa, anything you honestly don't believe in...and then consider if asked to believe in that thing to keep yourself from eternal torture could your really do it? It is literally impossible to believe in something that your brain will not allow you to believe in. One could always say they believe...do you believe true belief isn't required? 75% of humanity burning in torture for eternity is the one of the most evil beliefs anyone could ever have.
@jerem18h Жыл бұрын
As a further thought experiment, try to reject something that you currently believe in, such as your own parents. think of how diluted and how willful you would have to be to deny the existence of your parents. that is what happened with everyone who denies the Lord, they aren't being forced to believe in something they don't, they are being punished for willfully denying and defying the Lord they know to be good, and the Judge of all the earth. Even after all our willful rejection of Him He still made a way back to Himself. but there is coming a time where everyone will stand before Him, whether they like it or not. you can go on with your life rejecting Him, it's your privilege. but I would suggest turning to Him while you've still got breath. He spoke to me back while i was on heroin, making fun of Christians and their ' AI in the sky' but i was sternly warned to repent and the Lord woke me up to the lifelong deception i was living in. hopefully you make the right choice man
@royhiggins7270 Жыл бұрын
@@jerem18h It isn't a thought experiment to know you parents...they exist in reality and I know them personally. I am sorry that the only way you could overcome your addiction weakness was through delusion...but I guess that is better than nothing. However, I am neither weak nor a coward.

Very interesting, thank you. Jewish, Islam and Catholicism all teach you must act righteously to attain eternal life with God, all the Protestant sects believe you can do whatever evil you please, but as long as you have faith, or have been ‘saved’ you are good to go. 🤔
