I think that you made some good points here. I used to believe in not voting for the lesser of two evils, and Trump is definitely not a saint, but is absolutely a man to be respected for his strength in leadership, business sense, and doing what he says he will do ..These are honorable things. It has taught me that although we have not had the perfect godly man to choose from in recent elections, (or any elections, really!) God can absolutely use anyone He wants to turn our nation to Him. I really believe Trump is that man. Believing that God spared his life for a reason, I hope he will turn to God for direction on leading the United States in a way that will honor God. It is what we pray for daily!

I am born again. I felt the warm feeling through my body when he accepted me. The most wonderful feeling on earth. He has been by my side everyday since that day. I have seen him. He came to me we talked and we made our agreement and we both have fulfilled all we said we would. If I have failed at anything then I ask Him to forgive me and He always does. Yes! Finally someone who sees it like I do. I have struggled all of my adult years as to whether I am a Republican or a Democrat. I definitely struggled with voting for Trump in 2020 but I did. After these past 4 years, there is no question in my mind that Trump stands for more of the conservative values and direction than Biden does. However, I identify as a Christian more than I identify as a Republican or Democrat.

I am a Conservative Christian woman and it irritates me when other Conservatives criticize someone who has had a sinful life and a questionable past, but is admitting to the error of their ways and beliefs. Those are the people Jesus embraced. He said he came for the sinners not the righteous believers because they needed his help and forgiveness which he freely gave when they asked. So shouldn't we be joyful when someone admits their mistakes?

We know that the moral fabric of our country is unraveling quickly. I am a Christian conservative. I am all for a return to the Christian principles this country was founded upon. One of the biggest gripes that the left has with the right is our intolerance. At least, that's what they say. There is some truth to that. I didn't like the Sikh prayer because it was to a false god. The content of her prayer was actually beautiful and reflects what many of us ask our God for daily. We are going to have to find some common ground with the people in the party. They are not all like us. The people in America are not all like us. At one time, Christians were the majority. That is no longer true. It can be again. I don't think we should accept certain things that are contrary to our Biblical beliefs. However, I do think we need to be respectful and kind to people of other faiths. Jesus was kind to the Gentiles. He was even amazed at the faith of the Roman Centurion. Now, these folks were not just non-Jews, they all believed in many gods, yet our Lord was kind to them. We all live here together in this amazing country. These are our neighbors. They don't all believe the way that we do, they don't all look like we do. However, many of them do wish to see a better, stronger America. Thank you, Colby. As always, I enjoy hearing your wisdom. Amen! I agree that we need to welcome all who would “come in to our fold” without condoning their lifestyle. Just like we should welcome all who come into our church without sticking our noses up in the air. I had a woman who was a self-proclaimed Wiccan who was all excited that a church she recently started attending asked her to speak at their next service. She looked pointedly at me & proclaimed how they welcomed her, & said, “Not like your church.” I told her she was wrong, & we’d love her to come to our church, & that all would welcome her with open arms. She was taken aback for a moment, & asked if she would be allowed to preach there. I told her “No,” that wouldn’t happen, but we’d be delighted to have her there. I guess that’s the difference between our church & the Unity church she was preparing to preach at. I would love her (& I did), happily accept her attending our church (& I would), but pray for her, her salvation, & a true change in heart & lifestyle. Sorry for the book above, but you shared an important distinction/difference for the Christian, & I thank you for it!! Stay strong, brother.

Wow, I have a moral problem with the fact that you’re trying to make the conservative party only Christian based. I’m a Christian, I recognize that there are many other religions but also that we have freedom of religion here in the United States. I served in the military for over 20 years to protect those freedoms and values, and being offended by prayers other than Christian prayers being said at the RNC conference is extreme. There is room in the Republican Party for everyone but listening to your video you clearly do not believe in the values of religious freedom and freedom of speech. That is intolerance that is spreading discord while I may not agree with the religious views of others, I certainly can tolerate them because we live in the United States of America where we have freedom of religion and we have freedom of speech. Now I may not like what everybody says, but I served to protect your right to freedom of speech and religion. My husband is a 30 year veteran (head of armament & ordnance going back to the first Bush & every war since). My dad was a Bronze Star recipient Vietnam Veteran. They both expressed what you just did. They didn’t always agree with others but they served to uphold the constitution so that every individual can have their freedom. My husband doesn’t like being told what type of Christian he should be. People who are not Christian should not be forced to be Christian. Then you have a nation of people “acting” as if they are Christian to appease those in power. Someone else in this thread said that it was blasphemy if Trump knelt at an altar but if he isn’t really Christian, then it’s blasphemy. Well then, if you can only be an American (United States, not other countries in America obviously) and be “xxx” type of Christian or you are kicked out or are considered subhuman, then wouldn’t that be a whole bunch of blasphemy? You can’t force people to pray one way. Or you can but it won’t be genuine. Honestly, I think it will create more atheists than anything. That’s the opposite of what I wish for people. Let’s say Catholicism is the top choice of Christianity, & you absolutely have to confess to a priest, is everyone considering that? That we could be forced to go that route? Nothing against Catholics, but I feel it’s between me & God only. I don’t believe that praying the rosary is the only way your sins will be forgiven. If it helps you, wonderful! It doesn’t help me in my relationship with the Creator! The above is the reason the founders said “Freedom From Religion”. England almost split (& many died) during Henry the 8th, when the Protestants separated from the Catholics. Now introduce Jewish or Islamic religions, that’s even more of a political divide. What if someone came in and said “now you HAVE to be Islamic & follow our laws”? This is why we have our constitution & why so many people have fought & died to protect it! Yes, 1776 was also fought so that they wouldn’t have to worship the exact way that the King or Queen of England demanded they worship. Yes, that was Christianity but there are a bunch of branches within that alone! LDS, Mormons, Jehovah’s witnesses, Catholics, etc. then within the Jewish faith there are traditional Jews & Messianic Jews (possibly more? my husband had to school me on that). Allow people to worship however their hearts tell them. Only God can judge. So thank you for your service & for speaking up because I do love this country & what we stand for 💙🌹
