Allmighty God promissed Abraham that he will make out of Ishmael a great Nation and he kept his promiss. We are part of the covenant. The idea of the trinity is a later creation three hundred years after Jesus life on earth. That is why Rabbi Tovia is winning his battle. The messiah is coming back a second time for us muslims, the jews are still waiting for him. On that day God allmighty will be the judge. The difference between us it is the fact that we love all the messengers of God.

There are some big logical inconsistencies in Tovia Singer's argument using Hosea 3 that Jesus could not be king because it was not at the end of days.

As a boy, back in the early 1970s, I attended a church school. I had read and understood that when the Messiah comes we will beat our swords into plows. I remember asking the teacher why we still fought wars, Vietnam was on the news every night at that time, if Jesus was the Messiah. I got in so much trouble for asking that. I still remember today. This may seem over simplified, but the easiest way to see that only Moses' religion is the one is that without it there would be no Jews, without them there can be no fulfillment of prophecies like bringing them back to Israel. Then you have the end of days prophecies, which show there is no religion outside Judaism. And the miraculous interventions of God in modern times is perfectly in tune with Judaism. I wish I had more space.

I used to be Christian. What caused me to only believe in the G-d of Israel and not in Jesus as the Messiah was the fact that there are so many contradictions from the Hebrew Bible and the Greek Bible. Then, through logic and experience, I knew that no human blood could ever be used to atone for everyone's sins. That was the final step to where I knew the Greeks made this stuff up. However, I know the G-d of Israel is the only true G-d by experiences that I had. He knew he was going to show me the truth over a period of many years and had mercy on me by spiritual encounters while still believing Jesus was the Messiah. I was a Christian who didnt believe that Jesus was Almighty.

Jesus the Messiah has already been here. We know that Jesus was here at the Creation.(Genesis 1; John 1:1-5) We know that Jesus came to Moses in the burning bush. (Exodus 3:1-4:17.) We know that Jesus was the great “I Am”. (Exodus 3:14, John 8:58-59.) Jesus was the one calling in the wilderness, (John 1:23.) Jesus is the one in whose name Moses spoke throughout Deuteronomy, Jesus is always pointing His people to have a relationship with His Father. Jesus quotes Deuteronomy more than any other Book, He was there. (Deuteronomy 1:3; 4:5; 4:14; 6:1.)

And from Rashi, who Christians selectively choose to use when they think it suits their outcome. Turns out Rashi never believed in Jesus either, but you knew that. Rashi explains that the New Covenant will be called “new” because it will be enhanced so that not only will God keep his promise never break it, but even the Jewish people will no longer break it. This will be possible because in the future, our desire to rebel against God will be eradicated, and we will serve God wholeheartedly (Ezekiel 36:26-27). Gently I would urge you to spend the next 6 months of your life learning basic Hebrew. It is not a very complicated language although Semitic languages differ from romance languages and our own English considerably. The verse does not say what your translation makes it say. That is why you believe it is a reference to Jesus. Who is the speaker? It is the Lord of hosts. It is God speaking. And it doesn't say they will look to me whom they have pierced. What it says is they will look to me (God) because of the sacrifice of those who have been pierced in battle. Although Israel wins the cost is high and the loss is great. But as in the past, the sacrifice of the slain makes us turn back to God. I could walk you through the translation but isn't it better that you learn it for yourself? Six months of your life is enough. In 6 weeks you could easily sound out words and check them for meaning, tense, ect. Good luck!

And you can actually get a really good overall idea of at least some reading basics. Even if you did an hour a week. The story of Jesus is the only thing wich gives me a boundary to the Abrahamitic religions. Believing in a greater power is one thing, but following the patriarchal rules set by men who lived 1000s of years in some Middle Eastern deserts is something different. Having the privilege to live in a 21th century modern society is something I am really happy for. The basis of our rules have to be our knowledge, our willingness to educate ourself, our moral and the openness for different opinions. Not the dictate of men who died 1000s years ago.

The rabbi is helping everyone to understand. 1. Why did the first Muslims believe that the son to be sacrificed was Isaac Ishaq? The Torah Taurat names Isaac Ishaq as the son to be sacrificed and the Quran tells the Jewish people to observe their covenant with Allah which is the Torah Taurat in Quran 2:40 and confirms what is with the Jewish people in the Torah Taurat in Quran 2:41 and says in Quran 4:136 “... whoever has no faith in … Allah's Books … then he has strayed far away (from Allah)” and in Quran 3:93 “… Say (Prophet Muhammad, to the Jews of Yathrib), "Bring the Torah Taurat here and recite it (to me as evidence) if what you say is true." meaning the Quran confirms the Torah Taurat to show that humans do not have the power to change the written word of Allah (in Quran 6:34, Quran 6:115, Quran 10:64, Quran 18:27 and Quran 30:3) which the Jews have been commanded to follow forever in the Torah Taurat by observing the Sabbath Day in all their generations in a covenant agreement made with Allah forever in the Torah Taurat which is confirmed in the Quran as proof Allah is real and as proof the Quran is truthful. . 2. Why did later Muslims believe that the son to be sacrificed was Ishmael Ismail? Later Muslims said that Ishmael Ismail was the only son for 13 years and therefore the Jews changed the Torah Taurat. However when you read the Torah Taurat you will find that Ishmael Ismail and Isaac Ishaq were both living in the same house before the sacrifice and it was after Ishmael Ismail and Hagar Hajar are sent into the desert that the only son living with Abraham Ibrahim is Isaac Ishaq and this is why Allah says “Take your only son Isaac Ishaq and sacrifice him” meaning the faith in Quran 4:136 which the first Muslims had in the Torah Taurat was the correct faith meaning later Muslims did not read the Torah Taurat and believed what other people told them when they claimed the sacrifice was before the birth of Isaac Ishaq. . In both the Quran and Torah Taurat Isaac Ishaq is given to Prophet Abraham Ibrahim twice. The first time is by the angel of Allah with the birth of Isaac Ishaq and the second time is after the angel of Allah stops the sacrifice and gives Isaac Ishaq to Prophet Abraham Ibrahim a second time. The name good news is always the name of Isaac Ishaq in Quran chapters 11, 15, 19, 29, 37 and 51. . In both the Quran and Torah Taurat Ishmael Ismail is not mentioned anywhere in Quran chapter 37 or in Torah Taurat Genesis 22 which is the story of the sacrifice. . In the Quran Allah only blesses Abraham Ibrahim and Isaac Ishaq in the story of the sacrifice. Allah has left no blessing or mention of Ishmael Ismail in the story of the sacrifice because he is not in this story. . The Quran confirms the Torah Taurat however Satan Shaitan tests Muslims to show who believes the word of Allah was changed in the Torah Taurat in the same way Satan Shaitan tests Christians to show who believes Prophet Jesus Isa is Allah. . 3. The story of the sacrifice in Quran chapter 37 starts in Quran chapter 19. The story of Prophet Isaac Ishaq who is called the “Good News” son is the story of the son of Sarah and Prophet Abraham Ibrahim in Quran chapters 11, 15, 19, 29, 37 and 51. In Quran 19:46 - 19:49 Abraham Ibrahim lived with his father and prays and when he went away Allah gave him Isaac Ishaq in Quran 19:49 meaning this is the story of the son of Sarah. . The story in Quran 19:46 - 19:49 which is the story of Isaac Ishaq the son of Sarah is the same story in the beginning of the story of the sacrifice in Quran 37:98 - Quran 37:101. 1. Quran 37:98 is Quran 19:46 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim is living with his father. 2. Quran 37:99 is Quran 19:47 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim prays. 3. Quran 37:100 is Quran 19:48 Prophet Abraham Ibrahim prays. 4. Quran 37:101 (We gave him the good news) is Quran 19:49 (“We gave him Isaac Ishaq”). . The angel of Allah gave the Good News son Prophet Isaac Ishaq twice. The first time the angel of Allah gave Prophet Isaac Ishaq is as the Good News in Quran 37:101 which is the same as when Prophet Isaac Ishaq is given the first time in Quran 19:49. This Good News son Prophet Isaac Ishaq is to be sacrificed in the next verse Quran 37:102. . The second time Allah gave Prophet Isaac Ishaq is after Allah stopped the sacrifice and gave Prophet Isaac Ishaq a second time to Prophet Abraham Ibrahim in Quran 37:112 . The story of the sacrifice only blesses Prophet Abraham Ibrahim and Prophet Isaac Ishaq both separately and together as the father and son. Allah has left no other blessings in the story of the sacrifice in Quran chapter 37 meaning the Quran confirms the Torah Taurat as proof no one can change the words of Allah as promised in Quran 6:34, Quran 6:115, Quran 10:64, Quran 18:27 and Quran 30:30 Quran 4:136 Koran 4:136 “... and whoever has no faith in … Allah's Books … then he has strayed far away (from Allah).”

Former Christian here also, When I was at my worst suffering with kidney stones, begging Jesus for help, G-d asked me "what do my people, the Jewish people believe" and then 10 minutes later HE answered that question without me looking for it. When I followed Jesus I always felt I was alone and in darkness, seems HE doesn't know this Jesus. I had 2 surgeries and G-d gave me a perfect outcome for the kidney stones.

Amen, sister, I was half paralyzed due to a very sharp pain in my back and I will say this with all due respect for the Jewish community, I had a neighbor, a Jewish guy, I mentioned to him, and he recommended me, as means to be healed or to try to be healed, to keep the Law of Moses, I did not know much about it 20 years ago, then another neighbor suggested me to go to a church to ask Jesus for mercy, I was suffering a lot due to that pain, I went to a Christian church, the pastor asked if I did believe in the Messiah as being the son of God, I said yes, I do believe that, he started praying, he had not finished his prayer when the pain had disappeared( by the way, he asked the father to have mercy on me in the name of Jesus Crist) and I started walking upright, that pain never came back, it has passed 20 years already, it looks like the Father did a good job did not he? As a result, I started reading the Bible, including the Old Testament, since without Old Testament it would not be the New Testament, I have seen many people be healed in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, it pays to have faith in the Messiah, God bless all Israel and the Church of God

A Jewish friend of mine recommended this to me. I'm Protestant in theory. I was fascinated by theology in my childhood and early teens, but only ever had access to the Catholic Church and the Protestant Temple. I liked the fact that I was offered two different views, and that I could usually ask questions to protestants and not getting hammered with the propaganda line like with Catholics. But the issue is, eventually it was not enough, and I had a great many questions that none could answer in any way I found satisfactory. So I shelved all of this, and went on with my life, deciding that religion was just people trying to figure it out together based on a rather obscure text, full of moralistic stories. I am a student of physics, and to me, there is a god. A controversial position to have on campus, whee the stance is that science is the death of religion. But I perceive it in what is not understood. Science is but another attempt to figure it out. And when I find myself in wonder in front of the beauty of the universe, its unfathomable complexity and beauty, if find that to be the proof of G-d. And science is just another way to "get closer" to Divinity. I rarely pray, but I consider my studies to be a form of observance. So that was my belief system for the last 15 years or so. And last year I made a new friend, the friend that recommended this channel, and among the fascinating discussions we have theology is often on the menu. She is a born debater, and used to be atheist. Staunchly atheist in fact, because she was raised christian, and was utterly dissatisfied by her catholic teachings. Then one day she decided she wanted to become Jewish and developed a fascination for it, and thought she had to give religion an other chance. She started reading Torah with the mindset of "I'll be capable to counter believers arguments even better". Well now what do you know six years later she's orthodox and living in Jerusalem. Conversing with her over the months, made me open my bible again. Go to the local Jewish bookstore. And it stirred a bunch of questions that had remained dormant. Which I had left hanging with "I'll simply admit I'm ignorant, and live my life in a way that I can hope to look back upon and have no regret and feel no shame. There is a G-d and he is unknowable to me, I'll just do my best and accept whatever the outcome is in the end.". And a lot of things started making sense. Usually the conversations have us arguing opposing viewpoints, and while I do not always like it, I do come to appreciate the sense that she makes. And the sense that there is in studying scriptures with the outlook of Jews. There are many things that speak to me, and while I proceed at my own pace, I think in time I may convert.

I think, as a Muslim, that Rabbi Tovia is a leading scholar in biblical studies. What you have said regarding the prophecies in the Old Testament proves that Christians don't believe in the bible. So, please help me understand the following few points: First, Isn't 2000 years since the last exile considered too long to wait for Christ? We know from the bible that God never abandoned the Israelites for that long. That would also mean that God has not been worshiped since then. Second, How many Jews have to turn to God so prophecies can be fulfilled? We know it's impossible for any nation to collectively turn to God. Third, if the bible contradicts reality, then we have to reconsider the bible not reality. As you know, biblical scholars date the books you mentioned to the Babylonian exile. So, without Christ, the second Temple era to year 70, prophecies don't fit in.

I think it's based on subject. But yeah the Rabbi can't say "I don't want this or this ad" and they can't say "i don't want this ad on this video". That's why during adpocalypse you had companies remove their ads from KZbin entirely since their ads were being paired up with like Neo Nazi political content or whatever controversial content is on here. It is important to know why the Rabbis point you toward the Noahides. Jews have a lot of responsibilities in keeping the Torah, some of which have severe penalties if violated. Noahide laws aren't as involved, for example: a Noahide doesn't have to keep the Sabbath or keep Kosher. The penalties for violation of these laws are severe. The Rabbis are just looking out for your wellbeing. You may pursue converting if you learn the laws and commit to keeping it. Jeff Silverberg Rabbi Alexandri explains: if the Jewish people merit redemption, the Messiah will come on the clouds of Heaven. If the Jewish people do not merit redemption, the Messiah will come lowly and rising upon a donkey. (Sanhedrin 98A) Can there be a contradiction between two prophets? Is not every word of the Bible true? The Messiah comes once upon a donkey (Zechariah 9:9, John 12:14-15) to provide atonement for a sinful generation (Ezekiel 16:59-63). And once via the clouds (Daniel 7:13, Matthew 26:64 -> Luke 21:23-27). The righteous generation is the end times generation (Deuteronomy 4:30-31, Hosea 3:5).

@@johnmann8659 The clouds and donkeys are Metaphors, the Sages teach that if Israel Merits the Moshiach he will come in a glorious manner, a rejoicing manner, clouds as Metaphor, or if Israel is in need of him then will come in Humble manner, donkey as a metaphor. The Donkey Rider SPEAKS PEACE TO THE NATIONS, unlike your Jesus who as he said, he did NOT COME TO BRING PEACE BUT DIVISION TO THE FAMILY, TO SET IT AT ODDS ONE WITH THE OTHER, the very reason why Gd sends Elijah, to come and UNDO ALL THE DIVISION IN THE FAMILY FOSTERED BY FALSE TEACHERS, lest Gd smite the Earth with utter destruction. The ''one like a man" in Daniel is the Moshiach, who like his forefather David will represent all of Israel/the Jews/High Holy Ones, who the Angel in Daniel tells who INHERITS THE KINGDOM FOREVER AND TO ALL ETERNITY.
