I do think that Christians should have a say in politics. The laws of the land can greatly impact the people who live in it and our values greatly. If it wasn't for Joseph's high position in Egypt and his relationship with God, most of the Israelite would have parished from the famine. I do believe that Christians should vote. It was God's people who wanted a King in the first place (King Saul)😆 The unique part about all of these scenarios is the fact that the Holy Spirit had not yet descended, and Christ had not died and risen again. I believe these key facts greatly impact today's relationship with how we navigate church and state. Last, it's not the political party that we allow to dictate who we vote for. We need the Holy Spirit to help us make these decisions. Like God changed Pharaoh's heart, so can he change the heart of other leaders.

Back in the day we had that saying “ What would Jesus do” my position is that we know what Jesus did it’s in the Word and that should. E our focus. I have never heard anyone examine governments role in Jesus’ actual life and ministry and instruction we can and should take about our interaction with Government and Politics. Thanks so much for the detailed feedback Q. Looking forward to following up on that in the next Podcast!!!

Q1: Yes we should be involved in politics as it affects your everyday life. You can pray, but your faith is also demonstrated in your actions. Q2: Yes we should vote. Q3: Tricky for me b/c I personally don't believe there should be political parties (too long for this thread...). We should be Christians and that means whatever alliance you connect with you must speak truth to it. Not your truth, but THE TRUTH based on the Word of God. Short version😂
