To be fair, she has praised Caitlin Clark too whenever she does something good as well. We can't pretend like she hasn't if we're trying to be unbiased here. However, you are right. Caitlin seems to be the only player she calls out publicly when she screws up. She doesn't do that for the other players which is weird.

You are saying CC had a bad game. Pretty hard to have a good game without any good screens. Just think how many points they would have with good screens for CC. Sides is trying to build Boston’s game but she is going to ruin CC’s game.

I've been watching Caitlin since the 2017 FIBA Under-16 Women's Americas Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and have never seen her so down, which is reflected in her game results. While watching the game, you can see that she is frustrated with the inferior screens, not catching her passes, teammates who fail to get the easy buckets from her passes, and teammates who only pass to her when they are in extreme trouble.

They never should have drafted her No. 1 if the intention was to use her as a decoy. This worked tonight but won’t in the long run. The fans will get frustrated and stop watching if this keeps up. CC needs the damn ball in her hands and not being used as the 4th option. Set her some screens for crying out loud.

Caitlin will never play like she can with Mitchell on the same team. Mitchell said at the first of the year that herself and Boston were going to tear up playing together! Mitchell is a me first player not a passer. I honestly don't think she wants or ever wanted Caitlin on this team. She and Boston are buddy's. Also Sides loves Mitchell! If I were Caitlin I would ask for a trade herself or better yet Mitchell for a inside big player. This will NOT WORK it's going to get worse since Mitchell had a good game but she can not make a simple layup.I would just demand a trade if I were Caitlin

They feel they can score just as well look at the percentages, a lot of you don't understand the amount of work it takes to fight in the paint to get yourself in position and someone just shoots up a circus shot a few trips down the record and your efforts starts to go away because you start to think what's the use I'm working so hard so when you get the ball instead of passing it you now try to make something happen on your own. That is the problem with making the game revolve around one person when you are playing with a team everyone has to be involved and everyone has to feel like they matter two points are two points no matter who it comes from. caitlin also has to work on those turnovers she is historically bad with that.

True. Not a clue. She thinks CC's job is to bring the ball down court (not thinking about shooting it) and handing it off to some other player to shoot. CC is not known for that type of thing. She is one of the premier shooters to ever play the game. Capable of putting up 35 pts. per game, easy. Sides has no idea. She has turned CC into a decoy while others take the shots. That is reprehensible. It's going to eventually get her fired. Not soon enough though.

Sides is making others more of a priority at the offensive end so CC can be freed up. Look at the better WNBA teams. Do they have one player that is the focus? No. Defenders have to drop off their assignment to help. That leaves player's open.

Ok, here's my 2 cents, I'm Canadian and have never watched a Basketball game in my life, heck I don't even know the rules. But I am a hockey fan, and the two sports are very similar in many ways, let me explain why the two sports are similar. When a star rookie is drafted, the organization surrounds that rookie with players that will protect them and help elevate their games. True, other teams will go after the opposing team's rookies with a vengeance, and that's where the strong physical players (enforcer) kick in and make all those that made hard fouls on their star players pay a price for physically attacking their teammates. Caitlin Clark has absolutely captured my attention and I just now started watching the WNBA, not the NBA mind you, but really the WNBA. And what I have noticed as compared to men's hockey, the WNBA players on her own team, don't support her, and that's out of pure jealousy and spite. The GM of the Fever team has tough decisions ahead if they want to build this team and rise in the rankings. In hockey, men are not petty, they know their roles and they execute them. When The Great One Wayne Gretzky started his rookie year, he was quickly roughed up, so the Edmonton GM, made changes and hired hockey players that could give room to Gretzky to do his thing, Gretzky ruled the ice and broke all records, because he had not only good players to feed him the puck, but also enforcers to protect him and he gave Edmonton Oilers multiple Stanley Cups right off the bat. The Indiana Fever organization needs to do the same, get players that will set their petty jealousy and envy aside and decide what's more important, winning games or putting minimum amount of efforts and/or to have their best player do her thing. She needs good players that will feed her the ball to make plays and enforcers to protect her. If two or three players on the opposing team are getting extremely physical against CC, then those players need to be met on the floor by tough physical players and make them pay for every hard foul on their star player, which is CC. The first thing to change for the Indiana Fever, is the coach. From what I've seen and heard so far, she's ruining CC's career as a rookie star player. The GM needs to hire a coach that can coach effort and build an offense around their star player, get great play makers that will feed the ball to CC, and hire 1-2 strong physical players to protect her, to give her the room she needs to make baskets. Christie Side's gotta go, this team needs to get an old school coach that can coach effort, uses all the tools of this team and open up their game so that CC can breathe and do her thing. Screw the bs about the Olympics, let CC get some rest, and in the meantime, the GM needs to make bold moves. Fortune favors the bold. If the GM surrounds CC with players with the right attitudes and will to win even if CC makes the majority of the points, it doesn't matter. A team wins as a team, but only if the players accept to play the roles they were hire to do. Let CC be the 30 average points a game she can be. Let her loose and give her the right tools to shatter records and become the great one of the WNBA. The rest of her teammates will benefit from it in the long run. And so will the WNBA.

I've never heard turnovers brought up before. Period. Like LeBron James is the all-time turnover leader by a massive margin, and all anyone ever says is he "always makes the right decisions" lol. Caitlin hasn't even played, what, 20 games? And ALREADY people are counting her turnovers and bringing them up. What other player, men or women, gets that treatment lol. It's crazy the bias.

Clark didn't have a bad game she did the work that doesn't show up in the stats sheet. You clearly didn't watch the game or care, Boston is incapable of doing anything on offense other than being a big down low. She can't screen, she doesn't understand plays, she barely rebounds, afraid of contact, and doesn't have good hands for passing. Clark was setting screens properly down low allowing the bigs to get open and took two defenders on the court just about each possession.

Why wouldn't she be stressed? No one has her back. She was basically frozen out by her own team. Mitchell's shots were falling tonight, but what happens if she has an off night, and there stands Clark in the corner wide open with no one passing her the ball? It's not always like that, I get that. But... I sometimes wonder why the team drafted Clark if they want her to play in a system built around Boston and make no adjustments that favor her strengths.

What’s happening is every game they are all over her defensively, and want to make the rest of the team beat them. Last night the team stepped up and did that. Once the rest of the team continues to be consistent, then teams won’t be able to play the same defense. Caitlin will have ups and downs, but on 2 years from now she will be the biggest star there

The game was designed to feature Boston. They were sticking Clark in the corner and not doing effective screens to allow her time for her 3's. After a while she appeared frustrated and forced some shots. Christy Sides needs to be fired; she does not know how to use Clark. Furthermore, Clark seems to be playing on a team and for a coach that do not support her. The pressure on Clark is enormous and unless Sides is fired and they hire a coach that knows how to use her, this will be bad for Clark, the team, the fans, attendance and the W.
