This dirty play is intentional and dangerous to result in a permanent injury. It is criminal. A one game suspension is out of the question. An imprisonment should be the penalty. Anything less is a grave injustice to Caitlin Clark and a serious dereliction of responsibility by Commissioner Engelbert.

You're right but it already has resulted in a personal injury; They hardly talked about the first of the season in the Storm game when CC got elbowed in the jaw and it ruptured her eardrum. I actually prayed for CC that her eardrum would heal up correctly and that she wouldn't suffer any hearing loss like I did. I wish that CC would sue the league after this injury. With all that frustration building all season and the "Caitlin Clark Effect" not diminishing, she felt it necessary to physically assault Caitlin in front of millions of fans and a few myopic referees and league officials. That eye gouge was absolutely intentional and specifically aimed at ending Caitlin's game if not her season or career. Dijonai Carrington should have been immediately ejected, suspended for the remainder of the season, and arrested for assault. I hope she will at least be investigated.

Djo intentionally poked her eye

Messed up depth perception (from an eye injury!) will throw up your shots. Wasn't that the whole point?
@VermilionteaАй бұрын
No, of course not. The shots won't go down when your stereo vision doesn't work. That's totally elementary.
@rogernighbert5436Ай бұрын
Yes, long finger nails should be banned. Real or fake ones, they should have to be trimmed back to where they can't cause a problem. These long nails other than poking and eye they could rip the flesh of their opponent.

@denisebailey3226Ай бұрын
@@catsabotage3362 That's your perception. I doubt very much if Carrington did that on purpose. Want to try to make her out to be the villian. Not going to work here. Why would she intentionally hurt any of the ladies. Make it make sense?

Boycott the WNBA NOW! The WNBA Commissioner is worthless! Not implementing guidelines or restrictions is on full display. Was watching the Indians Fever playoff game with my granddaughters and family when we witnessed a cruel and intentional act. This incident had my entire family disgusted and disappointed as to how flagrant calls are completely ignored by referees and the WNBA. So disappointing to witness such thuggish conduct by an awful player. So I refuse to accept this!
@M.V.C-bg9spАй бұрын
Carrington should be suspended. They didn't defend her well. Look how many shots Clark took. That's not good defense just bad offense. Also its nice when the refs and opposing coach is on your side

Needs suspension to stop this mess!! Maybe folk will think before they try to hurt CC!!😡

Rules need to put in place, no false nails, and normal nails have to be certain length, and no bloody false eyelashes,,, its basketball not a catwalk... She could have blinded clarke...

If you don’t watch the WNBA you have a much more enjoyable sports day. Terrible basketball. Didn’t miss it at all yesterday.

Sides and Dunn are cowards - should not be coaching or managing - I can't think of the agency (EEOC ?) - I think Caitlin should get a lawyer and file an unsafe workplace and workplace violence report - she ha a full season of recorded instances played for the televised and social media viewers - a full season of recorded proof

Do they think the clip they kept running over during the game would be the only view we would see? When the Fever and Clark are done playing this year, so am. I watched 4 games on Sunday, but I won't watch another unless the Fever are involved.

There is no suspension pending. Everyone is going to say it was an accident, not on purpose. Does not excuse why it was not called a foul, or when Mabrey pushed her underneath and that was a no call. Fever were outplayed, but they also got ref hosed.
@josephfelix1916Ай бұрын
CC needs to wear protective glasses. Sooner or later, those thugs are going to be successful at ending Clarks' career. And call the lawyers to put the WNBA on notice about the fingernails being allowed on the court. If CC is gone, so are the fans and the MONEY!!

I really hate to say this but CC she's doing it to herself, she needs to start defending herself and stop turning these negativity behaviours into positive when asked questions. The more she stays silent nothing is going to change. Wishing her a speedy recovery and win the next game

Caution. Before you decide to play in the ghetto make sure you understand the rules. They are not going to quietly stand by and lose what they have established. Even the referee’s understand the unspoken rules. If need be they will cripple her to put her in her place.
