Love to see these tough condition fishing. These are the times we want to turn to youtube for ideas and advice. Thanks for putting this up!

It's still better than working. Thanks Jason. I am not the winter fisherman I used to be. I don't think Grey hair holds the heat in. I like rivers in the winter because they still come shallow and that's where I am comfortable.

That is awesome to hear and see. Even the guy who won the Bass Master Classic, saying "there's one, stay on, please be a fish." To put thoughts into words, its having the best bass fisherman in the world show that they have tough days too and by doing so give you a pat on the back and say i know it can be a grind and i have those days also. We are all in that same boat sometimes. The video was great and thank you, i could really relate to it.

Fished in a snowstorm with the river mostly iced over today and nailed some hawgs. Fishing’s always better than work!! Big sparkshad on 7/0 hayabusa 🤫

The realness of this channel is the greatest! I was hoping to be your marshal on Santee Cooper but that’s sorta like hitting the lottery. No doubt an awesome experience and I’ll definitely sign up again next time.

Winter fishing is tough especially a high blue bird! But it's a waste of time before noon, sun high in the sky warms up the water and I would want to fish a mud bottom with slow current and off color will hold the heat better and fish will be on the bottom or very close it. Rocks or a tree fall with branches out of the water will heat up too! A jig & pig, suspending #6 shallow shad rap or a 3-4 shad tail on a 1/8 - 1/4 oz lead head worked slow up current close to the bottom with a dying flutter retrieve will sometimes make a fish instinctively strike? Thinking dying minnow! In tidal waters late in the day on an out going tide will pull the warmer shallow water out and across the mud bottom it can be great fishing it maybe just a couple of degrees warmer but its a big difference fishing mid thirty degree and then find and area that's a high thirty's to low Forty's over mud I have caught some my larger trout in those conditions, rivers current and tidal movement in bays are very similar fish will stage out the current but close enough to the current and anything thats moving down or can't hold place like in bays will be dinner, they will ballup going out after the current is stronger than a 1/3 of knot and disperse on slack tide, the same coming back into shallow bays on incoming tide! It's river fishing that goes back & forth, rivers fishing is just one direction but in winter time midday to sunset and mud bottoms and slow current in off colored water, I believe is the key on cold high blue bird days!

Pay still got a reaction bite. Doesn’t exist in az when cold. Then they’ll stare at drop shot and hold tails in mouth for minute or two before gulping it down. Talk about patient fishing the salt river teaches me how skittish bass can be. Throw every custom color at them and they just look at it even the little Japanese real life looking worms on ultra small mustad 6 Nikko hook. Best drop shot hook I’ve found.

I watched bass patterns exposed and most of the pros struggled. When you watch tournament fishing on TV . Your mostly only watching the guys that have figured it out.

I noticed that you had a clasp or clip (not sure what the correct name of it is) tied to the end of your line and then attached to crank bait and the jerk bait. Do you use clips on all the types of crank baits you throw?

Yes, most of the time. Only time I don’t is when fishing grass
