What do you mean what they made them saying a reality check they’ve been singing songs like this for generations if you look at the songs that were out in the 60s and that they’ve always had songs like this as a kid reading didn’t think much of it because I didn’t think much of itwas like 18. I think this came out. I mean it is not a terrible song for the sing at 18. You listen to the music nowadays they’re even worse. I always thought this video stood out as one of the best of its time. They didn’t take any shot for granted, the vision was executed with perfection, and it kept you engaged the entire time. This is the era of music videos that were the best and had the best examples of the dance fashion of the time period. After that pop music videos became waaay more slutty. Its hard for me to disagree with you afrikan08, because I agree, I think the music & music videos made to attract kids are provocative and have suggestive lyrics. But when I was a kid, I didn't pay attention to the words of the song. I had no clue what the song meant. I just wanted to have her hair and clothes and be able to sing and dance the way she did. I didn't look at it that way when I was 11, 12, 13. It's the parent's job to try to keep their children away from these music videos if they choose to. But the sad thing is,music now is SO much worse than music was then. This outfit she's wearing is modest compared to what is worn now.

This video will always hold a special place in my heart. Christina is one of my favorite artists and my mom was a huge fan as well. My mom, who was battling multiple myeloma cancer, was in the hospital at the time and I remember I had recorded the “making the video” on vhs so that she could watch it. One of the times that I visited and stayed the night with her in the hospital, she had me play that videotape over and over because she loved the song so much. She passed in December of that year, but whenever I hear this song or see the video I remember those happy moments I had with my Mom. Thank you Christina.
