Great guitars! I only have one suggestion to make it better. The original song has a 2 bar beat loop with a double kick “blast beat” (for a lack of better term) at the end of the second measure. It would be so awesome if you or someone else did a metal cover of this song playing the original’s blast beat rhythm note for note. It’s sick. Oddly enough, I noticed that some late 90s - early 00s pop songs had double kick and power chord stabs thrown in, which makes it easy to make metal covers of them.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I should have taken that and added into the intro of the cover, maybe, but I usually don´t like to listen to the original song too much so that my cover is more personal and not a copy of the original with distorted guitars ;) I like a lot the era you mentioned and also 80s pop. They have a ton of great songs to cover!

+surgeyX, I cannot answer your comment. Hope you ser this one. I get what you say. Thanks a lot fir the suggestions! It was arranged for a one-guitar band, Break The Fall, so I made it simplier. The part around 0:15 is done using the chords you mentioned. And yeah, the guitar I used is a KM7, an awesome axe. Very versatile and with a great string tension and definición due to the woods and pickups.

This is very good, and sounds great mixed / mastered...the only thing I wish you did was mix it up a bit more, the power chords were good, but it gets a little old going 1-2-3-4 all down the scale like that -- instead of going all the way down the scale with the low chords descending, go up an octave and play the higher equivalent of those power chords on the last bar or two, and do like 1-2 as you normally would, then go up an octave for the last two power chords...same thing with the neat little lead riff you do in the second part of the verse before the pre-chorus -- i liked it, but instead of playing it twice the same way, maybe the second time do it up higher on the last two bars, or keep it how it is, and add another guitar track with that guitar doing harmonies up higher on the last bar or the last two bars. I don't know if you're understanding what I'm trying to say, but hopefully you get the gist :) The pre-chorus riff was sick with the really low single notes..I loved that!! They sound so good too -- not muddy at all, very tight and punchy. Another thing I loved was the two string "G" style chord chugs in the beginning starting at around 0:15 -- those chords are so under used, and I think they really stand out -- Although I can not tell if you are actually playing that on one track or if it's two tracks with each guitar playing single notes. Dave Mustaine uses a LOT of those kind of chords, especially in the first part of Holy Wars. Overall, nicely done. What guitar and and what amp / models are you using? What pickups? EDIT: Damn, I see the Schecter 7 at the end...very nice. What model is it? I have an RG1527M, Ibanez Prestige 7 string :P I love it.

I love that little part! The original song has a distorted electric guitar playing a power chord stab that slides down from high F to low F (13-15-15 \\\ 1-3-3) and then goes from low F down to E (1-3-3 -\\\ 0-2-2). It was common in the late 90s - early 00s for pop songs to have power chord stabs thrown in here and there.
