I can't listen to this song. I relate to it too much and it hits hard. She did that.

I could really relate to this. My father used to hit my mother a lot. I remember the last time he hit her. He grabbed a a large meat knife while they were arguing in the kitchen. He had the knife up against her and that's when I knew I might lose my mother and have no one to take care of me and I would lose the only person I loved on Earth. So, I did what any real son would do. I ran to her and stood in the middle of the two and I said to him. If you are going to kill her you have to kill me. I was 7 years old. That's when he realized what he was doing was wrong and he put the knife down and left home and never came back to live with us again. When he left I ran and shut the door and locked it from the inside so he couldn't come back in and when I came back mom was crying uncontrollably. I gave her the tightest huge that must have lasted half an hour until I saw she had stopped shaking. I did lose the only person I ever loved and could call a friend when mom died in 2010. But, I was there with her until the end. Thank you Christina for singing the pain that many of us will have for the rest of our lives.

Christina Aguilera - Keep On Singin' My Song (studio - there is no live version - play it until the end, after some silence, there's a silly goodbye :)) You'll love that song and her vocals!

This is such an amazing beautiful song. I've never heard such a song performed by her with so much soul and feeling that makes others connect with her. Nobody her age and in her generation can put such feeling into a simple performance. Her American Music Award Whitney Houston tribute is going to be her come back!!! She's going to kill it

I’ve been to her concert and she could not sing it live that night. She did however sing oh mother. And that one hits deep too. This song got me through all of my abuse. No music has ever touched me the way Christina’s has.

This is by far the most emotional and intense video you have posted. I have her Stripped album and this amazing song was on there. But wow, I never knew she went through this. Thanks so much for reacting to it man and for your sensitivity. Very delicate and emotional, it shows in her voice while singing. 👍

I heard it before and was convinced it might be a real experience. How utterly horrible that it was as we have just heard. Love to you Christina if you ever see this. I saw similar stuff.

Queen Yaela yessss I just noticed that. There is only 2 people I know who can F up some back ground vocals and they can still sang they ass off. Kelly and Faith Evans. “One More Chance” by BIG the only reason I listen to that song everyday is cause of Faith her background and adlibs are just oh my gawd “dahling I cant begin to understand how to say it” Same in the PDidy and Mase song “Mo Money MoProblems” Kelly dominates that background. I be shook every time. 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿

Boring? well if your dad dragged your mum into a bedroom and said he was going to "finish her off this time" and you were 12 and put a gun to his head and ended up running down a street as two shots were fired.... you might possibly get it. I pray you never have to see anything like this poor girl went through. Just show some respect if you don't understand

Ok dumbass if you had even related this to any way shape or form you would be so pissed if somebody said that about this song. The reality of it is that the lyric describe the scars and and pain on a poor kids childhood. Ik some people will never know what that’s like and that’s a good thing I just hope you can learn to keep your opinion quiet and respect that people went through this and learn to appreciate a song that somebody depends on to keep them going

Then you clearly don't know what the song is about.
