Being relevant is when you are exposed to celebrities from mainstream media if you care about them or not. Because they are a hot topic. They are everywhere and being talked about. So if he hasn't heard anything about xtina in mainstream media, if he follows her or not, then he isn't being exposed to her because she was no longer the hot topic of discussion so sorry but he's absolutely right, she isn't "relevant" on that level where people still talk about her like they did when she came out with genie in a bottle. But the dude literally said MUSICALLY fighter (2002) was her last relevant song which is factually wrong and purely ignorant. Like many people pointed out Back to Basics (2006) was a worldwide #1 album that spun the Grammy award winning hit single Ain’t No Other Man which charted within the top 10 (America) and top 5 (Europe) and peaked at #2 in the UK respectively. 2 years later (2008) she had another top 10 single. In 2010 she received her STAR on the Hollywood Walk of Fame thanks to her impact in music. After that she had huge success as a collaborating artist. Moves like Jagger (2011) was a worldwide #1 hit and is certified 6x platinum. The song made her the fifth female artist in Billboard history to score a number one hit in three different decades. She then received her lifetime achievement award in 2012 “the voice of a generation“ followed by scoring another worldwide top 10 single with Feel this Moment (2013). The same year Christina heard an underperforming yet beautifully haunting song on TV (original solo version of Say Something) by the then-unknown band “A Great Big World“ and decided to contact them and re-record the song. The Christina version went on to become a 6x platinum worldwide top 5 and #1 hit, earning Christina her 6th Grammy in 2015. In 2018 she received 2 Grammy nominations. Fast forward to today she is worth $160 million, received the “Disney Legend“ award and is starring as the main music act in the soundtrack album of one of Disney’s most anticipated movies in 2020. Relevance is more than personal perception and the amount of gossip on social media.

Christina is doing a residency in Vegas, that was set to return in november - lets see, becouse of the pandemic. She also was nominated for 2 grammy in 2019. Her last bug hit was Say Something, with a Great Big World (won a Grammy), also Feel This Moment with Pitbull and Moves Like Jagger with M5. Her last album, Liberation (2018), help her to tour in USA, with the Liberation Tour, in the world with The X Tour, and the residency in Vegas called The Xperience. Shes making money and thus guy said she isnt relevant? Wow... he must be so relevant!

Since Genie in a bottle? Back to Basics was a masterpiece. Then a lot of great hits came with her albums. Also lots of great collabs. After a period during which she became mom and coached the voice, she came back with a great album and she is back with all the greatness lf her voice in #Liberation. Powerful, crazy controlled and mind blowing vocals. And she showed that she is still vocal savage and queen during her X Tour (talking by both videos on youtube and my own experience seeing her singing live) For many more collabs, hits and albums . #AlwaysAFighter

Facts: 2006- xtina released back to basics, which sold 1.7 million records, w/ 4 singles charting on hot100 & a worldwide international tour that grossed 48 million for only 78 shows. 2008: She then had the single “keeps getting better” which debuted at #7 on billboard hot 100. Bionic album released in 2010, which debut single- “Not myself tonight” peaked at 23. Xtina was featured in several artists singles ultimately helping them gain international success like: Maroon 5-Moves like jagger, Pitbull- feel this moment, & A Great Big World- Say Something.
