This song played when I was paralyzed from the neck down in the hospital. I remember I had lost all hope. I thought I would be in a vegetative state for the rest of my life. I had never listened to the lyrics and its positive message until I was there lying on that bed. I remember it did something to me internally. Almost like it lit a fire within me that let me know I had the inner strength to pull through, and now I am back to normal. I will always trust my voice within. Thank you so much, Christina. This is not only music, it is food for the soul.

It always makes me cry. I don't think xtina even knows how many people she saved with stripped. This album came to me at the lowest point in my life, I really was giving up. Then I heard the voice within... When she said "don't cry, I'll be right here when your world starts to fall". I always felt like she was really talking to me. (Not me f*cking sobbing while writing this) everytime i saw myself giving up I would just hide from the world and listen to this. Powertripping at work, betrayal of friends, family problems, financial problems, career not progressing, and my partner for more than 8 years leaving me when I needed him most. Just after a month, he found someone new. All at once. I even fear of not making it through the new year. I am having panic attacks, shaking, hot flashes. I cry a lot, many times, to everyone, to my siblings, my grandma, my mom, and even to my dog who seems to understand. I feel helpless. Listening to this song at work. After years of being bullied, and going through so much, I finally found my voice.
