There is a story behind those moths. There was a species of moth that were continuously being preyed upon. Their predators proliferated and targeted them so well that in one generation they changed their color to a darker version to avoid predation. They were able to successfully avoid becoming prey long enough to pass their genes on to the next generation and due to the predators not being able to recognize their targets due to their darker hue they died off. Because of the lack of predators the next generation was born with the characteristic light hue that is generally characteristic of their species because it was now safe again. This is a trauma response that ensured the survival of their species and shows how evolution can happen in only one generation. Food for thought. One of my favorite music videos.
