I loved her voice her songs were average at least to me, but she has never learn how to sing properly. 15 plus years I just don't get it, and the fans who obviously aren't educated in music & vocal training don't get it. To the untrained ear and not musically inclined they just want a nice to great sounding voice, with good music arrangements and that's it. I guess you have to connections to be a music star, cause Christina isn't the only bad singer out there it's plenty more. They might have amazing tones/timbre, but they are not true vocalist.

I'll wrap this up. Christina is called the Voice of the generation, but so many other vocalists can do better than her today. You will no longer see her in her prime anymore. Technique is important in singing because it enables the singer to hit high notes without a raspy voice while keeping power. Straining and screaming with runs isn't soul. She would sound better even for you if she had a less effortless technique.

Christina Aguilera has a very good voice but it would be so much better if she took some vocal lessons to improve her technique. Technique helps you reach the full potential of your voice without straining or pushing yourself. She is exhausting her voice so much that it hurts to watch. She could lose her voice anytime. Again I am not criticizing her voice but her technique which is undoubtedly beyond bad.

She had to get a vocal coach to help her reach the high notes in Reflection. She has had a substantial amount of training but she chooses to sing her own way and in turn killing her voice in the process.

Christina Aguilera might have those vocal fails, but what's more interesting is that, even so, she is apt to receive the title of greatest singer alive. I've never seen anyone sing so epicly, so non-humanly like she does. Extremely professional; very solid, loud and resonant vocals that are soaked in passion and pain; incredible raspy high notes projected into the atmosphere with such a strength and solidness no one else has, great melismas and amazing timbre. She might have a bad technique, but this is what gives her voice, especially high notes, that charm and beauty it has. This is a singer that was praised by Whitney Houston, and now that she's dead, Aguilera is completely apt to be called The Voice.
