Because it got REALLY awkward after that fan got the heave-ho and it threw Christina and Craig off their game ... yes, it’s amazing what a small thing like that can do to the moment and experience as a whole. They were BOTH pissed off about what happened; wonder what David Letterman thought about it. Does seem like a dick move. Yelling something that should' NOT construed as offensive, all that warranted was a guard going to the person in a non-threatening way, and in a quiet but firm manner "Excuse me Sir, need to ask you to please not yell, otherwise I would be required to escort you from the set. Thank you" If it is something minor, then just a verbal reprimand/reminder, as maybe he did not hear the guard say anything about it. Anything after that, or if it had been continuously yelling, that would be different.

Could be wrong, but based upon what happened in her second appearance I get the impression she’d like the world to forget her Kelly Bundy character. She was always portrayed as a teenager that “got around” and was a naive airhead. And even though she has played sexy roles since, she’s clearly talented as a singer and dancer and can play serious roles.
@paulmueller63074 жыл бұрын
You would be correct on that impression,I had heard an interview with her about a possible MWC Reunion Special and she had stated that she would never appear as that ditso blond in those outfits ever again.If you watch her after that guy's comment,you see her with disdain,hanging her head,on even mentioning her character on MWC,almost in embarrassment .Craig had noticed this and that's why he got ousted, not because of what he said,but how it made her feel.Craig is truly brash class,he jokes and teases but apologetically innocent,he would be somebody that would make a great friend,I believe, he'd always have your back.Kudos,Craig Ferguson!

You never know which role you played will have the biggest longevity. That's up to the audience. But I understand that Kelly was her first big role, and she has grown and evolved as a person and an actress, probably playing more challeging roles or roles closer to herself. I get that she would be annoyed to carry the mark of her first role with her forever. It's tough.
@Primus543 жыл бұрын
@@TFFgeek To the day he died (figuratively), and despite all the outstanding subsequent examples of great acting, Sean Connery was still most identified in his iconic role as James Bond. While we’ll never know, would Sean Connery have ever had the opportunities as an actor going forward if not for James Bond? In the same way, would Christina Applegate’s career have ever blossomed as fully without Kelly Bundy? Face it, Hollywood is full of attractive women actors, the majority of whom never reach her level of post-MWC success. My point is these actors have a choice on how they are going to view early-career roles that were their springboards to future opportunities. IMO, rather than avoidance or embarrassment, perhaps gratitude and recognition of good fortune is a better attitude. Just my two cents. Cheers! 👍
@TFFgeek3 жыл бұрын
@@Primus54 That's fair. I agree with you that you, as an actor/actress you took on the role and you'll carry the weight and the consequences of it for as long as you are alive. And yes, you can or should be grateful for having played a role that lasts for decades and is still populair 35+ years later, or longer. I guess it's both a blessing and a curse: when you have a 'timeless' role, you can either be grateful that the role lasted that long or dislike the fact that this role lasted that long. I guess it all depends on how you look back on the time and your personal life when you played the role. Cheers. TL:DR, while I agree with you, it's a tricky discussion.
@raghost152 жыл бұрын
Nah. She knows her career is filled with mediocre roles (with few exceptions) and the only reason of her current status is because of Kelly Bundy (an unfunny character, more like eye candy). Her real first big role was Robin Kennedy in Heart of the City (much better than Kelly Bundy) and after that show was cancelled she wanted to quit acting. But her mom, being a complete control freak, pushed her to audition the role in MwC. Since season 3, she begun transforming into "the ultimate blonde bimbo" and as a result she became the center of attention. She could've just step up and leave the show with David Garrison in season 4 if she wasn't comfortable portraying the dumb blonde type but she rode the gravy train with no complaints and her manager was none the wiser. Result: she got crappy roles nonstop. Thus, she got stuck with the show until it was cancelled. Since then, she got stuck with terrible roles for the most part

Studio 56 is tiny and they tell the audience many times before recording to not to shout anything out, especially at the guests.
@QuantumBraced3 жыл бұрын
@@jonrmartin Meh, every late night talk show has a certain amount tolerance for this type of thing. They hype up the audience like crazy beforehand and tell them to cheer and laugh at everything, you're always gonna get a few shouts here and there. This is the only time anyone has been thrown out. It's more that Craig hates being interrupted in any way, he treats these interviews like dates with the audience being an annoying 3rd wheel. You see this a lot, he chastises them whenever they make a noise while he's flirting with beautiful actresses, so I think that's what was happening there. He was being super filthy, someone shouted something out and immediately got thrown out, and she even commented on the irony of it, so... it is what it is, the guy's timing was just bad, he should have done it while the audience was cheering or laughing, so it didn't stand out as much.

@mikearchibald7442 жыл бұрын
@@QuantumBraced I'm just talking about this show. As he's mentioned numerous times, its not a very big studio audience, so shouting out things is going to be heard just like that. People then see that it gets a reaction, then the next time somebody yells something louder, then somebody yells something obscene. I can see where it would be a bit much, she was surprised, he at least pretended to be, but I can certainly see why a producer would want that kind of crowd control. Energy is one thing, yelling out and heckling is something else. He also said the guy was 'unruly' or something like that, so you never really know, the guy could have had his eye on him and noticed he was drunk or something. My reaction would be that it was a bit much, but then I wasn't there.

Stefan Reich I'm sure they tell the audience to not interrupt at all.

They tell the audience not to shout before the recording so that’s on the fan it’s his own fault …

as Craig noticed, being the first time he made a point. Maybe, I hope they loosened the rules for a late night show. Like the Art gallery, touch one but not two!

Okay. So. She was born in 1971. She celebrated her 18th birthday on November 25th, 1989. Therefore, In light of what she says in the 2nd of these two clips, the first Married...with Children episode we can watch with her as an 18-year-old is from Season 4, called, "At the Zoo". From that point on, we can enjoy looking at her with impunity!

As if it wasn't enough to love her for all the great times on MWC, I love that she got kicked out of the Brownies for cussing. I got kicked out of the BSA for cussing after the first twenty minutes.
