It always makes me cry. I don't think xtina even knows how many people she saved with stripped. This album came to me at the lowest point in my life, I really was giving up. Then I heard the voice within... When she said "don't cry, I'll be right here when your world starts to fall". I always felt like she was really talking to me. (Not me f*cking sobbing while writing this) everytime i saw myself giving up I would just hide from the world and listen to this. I still struggle to this day with it But because of her I know where to find just enough strength to keep going. Thank you Christina.

This song played when I was paralyzed from the neck down in the hospital. I remember I had lost all hope. I thought I would be in a vegetative state for the rest of my life. I had never listened to the lyrics and its positive message until I was there lying on that bed. I remember it did something to me internally. Almost like it lit a fire within me that let me know I had the inner strength to pull through, and now I am back to normal. I will always trust my voice within. Thank you so much, Christina. My mama sang this to me. I'm adopted so at first she was my foster mom. Unfortunately my birth parents were horribly abusive to a point I was 30 pounds underweight and behind developmentally. At 8 I was sent to my mama. I was a mean little lad that often would scream and spit at her (she nicknamed me "taz") because I had no idea how to really function let alone respond. But over time and that firm but gentle mom love I chilled out and she taught me to be a good human. All she has ever asked in return is I continue to do my best to put good into the world.

I remember this vividly on MTV when I was 13 or 14. It was the very first time I heard and saw the video and something about it spoke to me on a deeper level and I just started crying.
