my family is fucked up too, dad killed himself when I was 10, moms bipolar had multiple attempts, gave me to my grandma who has borderline LOL, I love her though. My husband thinks I go "too far" with my jokes, I feel like those with childhood trauma have a special kind of fucked up sense of humor. Also, Dr. Drew asking if you wanted to be a nurse gave me chills because I am a nurse!

Adult child of *two* narcissistic parents (lucky!)- For people looking to give back- Peer Support is a wonderful way to work with others going through challenges. For people that don't like AA- Smart Recovery is another program that is science based (not faith), and is awesome. Love you two so much. Drew for keeping my neglected ass company while watching Love Line, and Christina for being authentic and hilarious in her trauma- which is the only way to truly survive.

I hate when people get so high and mighty about AA and believe people can’t get sober without it. I’ve been sober 17 years and went to one AA meeting. If you’re thinking about getting sober, you can do it without AA.

As a millennial, I agree with the main mommy about giving kids too much praise. I was in the TAG (talented and gifted) program at my school and was always told I could become anything I wanted to be. That kind of praise led to a lot of anxiety, self esteem, and perfectionism issues. Validation is good when appropriate, but too much just causes the kid to rely on external validation and have unrealistically high standards for themselves they can never achieve 😅

Ok thank you Mommy for the Guzman statement!!! I have a strong opinion about his casting even though I love him- I came up on Raul Julia as Gomez, and the TV Show Gomez. Luis Guzman is great but can’t enunciate to save his life and just is absolutely NOT Gomez to me. CZJ as Morticia was meh to me but it’s not nearly as infuriating as Luis Guzman’s casting as Gomez

I said near enough the same to a friend of mine a week back! I was raised on Astin though. I feel the exact same way about Guzman, I have loved him in everything I have ever seen him in…but this casting was way way way off the mark. Although Gomez wasn’t traditionally handsome, he was suave and passionate so his ability to woo a knock-out femme fatale was easily believable! Watching a funny character actor does not mesh well with the character of Gomez, and it just feels like a lazy choice. I’m meh about Jones too, but I’m English so I grew up watching her on sitcoms here, so she’s just a bit of a vague presence but not as jarring as Guzman I agree! Touch my camera through the fence, you big titted animal ❤️
