Agree with the comment below from sansconsequence. To call this a live performance, when it is so heavily electronically processed, isn't accurate. And the singer here is not 'producing perfect sounds while lying down'. The electronic 'massaging' of what the singer is actually singing renders it pitch perfect. The notes being sung could actually be quite far from perfect, but the heavy production can correct that. I like the song. And I like the singer. But let's not go overboard and make things up....

@@banananosedmonkey Yeah, I understand what you're saying, but I completely disagree. it is totally impossible to know whether the vocals are being sung with "immense talent and skill" when they're processed that much. I'm a professional musician and singer, and can tell you that, with the right producer and effects, I can take a very average singer, one with some notes that are far from pitch-perfect, and make them sound perfect. You simply cannot know whether this singer has real vocal talent unless and until hearing the vocals unfiltered. I actually really like him. He's a great writer, and the songs are compelling, to me. But I also know far too much about what a real 'live' vocal performance is compared to a vocal performance that is so heavily manipulated.

Indépendamment du genre de l'artiste, l'album redcar et les adorables étoiles était vraiment nul pour moi. Décousu, dissonant, pas une seule chanson qui ait un refrain identifiable que tu as envie de reprendre. Quand au personnage de Redcar... Pour quelqu'un qui se déclare non-binaire, c'était quand même une sacrée caricature de mâle. Avec ses expressions grimacantes qui étaient censées être viriles, ses cheveux gominés et son costume de maquereau c'est grotesque et outré comme vision de la masculinité. Comme si, à partir du moment où on est du genre masculin, on est obligé d'être un gros blaireau de mâle toxique. Pas très fin pour quelqu'un qui prétend déconstruire le genre.

Right now, I'm going through long-term psychotherapy dealing with my constant anxiousness and dysmorphia. This particular week, I was reflecting about my relationships with my body and health since when I was born. I realised that I've never been a healthy and happy child because since I've gained consciousness I've always had quite big problems with eyes and vision. I've spent a lot of time at doctors offices and hospitals beacuse my mom and grandparents wanted me to be healthy. Then I was 7 years old I had an eye surgery, and it was quite scary experience - nobody explained to me what was happening and what's the goal of this. After surgery I woke up in post op room with both of my eyes sealed up exactly like Chris's eyes in the video. It was very scary to see nothing around me and thinking about what had happened with my eyes. To be honest, I cried a lot when I first saw and heard this song. It was tears not just about the surgery day but about my whole life dealing with pain and health problems. The great gift of psychotherapy is that you can go through this scary and unprocessed experiences again with therapist's gentle help and calm your soul and mind. This video reminds me of my eye postsurgery experience but in a good way. Maybe it's just a coincedence or maybe it's a magic of life, but that's the art and music that I needed right now to help heal my childhood trauma. Thank you Chris, you're genius and I love and respect your art very much!
