I prefer the idea of Christine being born evil rather than her being possessed by her previous owner.
@IDyce88 Жыл бұрын
she was born evil...she hurt people before meeting that owner. Stephen King has a number of stories where the principle is overly simplistic and people overthink it: Christine = it's an evil fu%$ing car. Room 1408 = it's an evil fu5$ing room, Rose Red = it;s an evil fu$£ing house.

They're remaking it, Blumhouse. It's either going to be really good, or really bad. That studio has come out with some great horror films, like the Conjuring series, but they also made Paranormal Activity and The Purge.

Today marks the 40th Anniversary Theatrical Release of "Christine" on December 9, 1983. I was 19 years old at the time, and I went to see the film three times! It is my second all-time favorite movie (my most favorite of all-time is "Back to the Future"). I could watch this opening sequence a hundred times, and it would never get old!!

People always call Christine a Plymouth fury, when she’s a Plymouth Belvedere. And there’s a few things to differentiate her from a fury: 1. The colors are red and white. Furys were only offered in buckskin beige and gold. 2. There’s no lettering on the tail fins that says “Fury”. It’s a very distinct badge. 3. If we’re talking about the book’s car, she’s a 4 door. Not a 2 door. Furys are only 2 doors, and lo and behold, Belvederes were offered with 4 doors.
@raysmith5338 Жыл бұрын
She was a special order car, so she's '57 fury in Imperial Red with White. Her badges clearly said Fury and Plymouth in the correct areas. My Grandmother had a '57 Fury in Black that she ordered from the factory in those colors with badges, She also had cow leather died black for the entire interior. Cost her $1600 to do it, $1600 to to make your car truly yours, that like what $20k now? The car was black on black. So don't tell me that Cristine wasn't a special order Red on Red. I know where you are coming from, but I must insist this is a custom order car from an unknown buyer at the time. In those times, you could "walk your car through to make it how you want" now you just tell them what you want and hope for the best.

This song playing in this movie is a big anachronism. The beginning of the movie is set in 1957, while the rest of the movie is set in 1978. The song "Bad to the Bone" didn't come out until 1982. Why did John Carpenter decide to play a 1980s song in a 1950s flashback of a story set in the 1970s? Ow. My brain is starting to hurt. Seriously, this has always bothered me.
