This is inspiring for me. I wrote some songs in the 1990s (when I first heard Christina Lavin) and lately wondered if I was too old and crotchety to come up with new ideas. Now I know - once you have it the gift, you never lose it! Great stuff.

Christine: "Friend, don't tell anyone that your three year-old is your computer guru." Christine: tells millions of people in song that her friend's computer guru is a three year-old. lol! My computer guru is my 19 year-old son; at age three he was still in the phase where kids ruin all of your electronic devices by inserting things in them or inserting them in things, but by age 5 he knew more than I did about how to make the computer do what I wanted it to. Now he fixes my issues remotely from Europe, which is completely freaky! Also, thank goodness for Google Chrome, or I would be locked out of every site I'm a member of now. I love that handy "remember this password" feature, except now I can't use the sites from anywhere except my own computer!

I've had a number of sites offer to remember my password for me. I can appreciate the convenience, but why would anyone want to do that? Great to see and hear you again, Christine.

Love Christine. Saw her at a show with Bill Morrissey (when he needed to perform but was physically frail.) She (of course) was marvelous but watching her shepherd Bill was endearing.

As an infosec professional, I love it! Spoiler alert: it's not that kids that are experts in computers, it's just that they are still willing to learn new things. Old folks refuse to spend the mental effort [or can't] to actually learn it. That's why kids seem to be great at being able to use computers without actually understanding what they are doing. Older folks know a lot, and learn very little. Younger folks know very little, but keep learning a lot. Want to make passwords easy? 1) pick 3-4 short non-related words and string them together. Length always trumps complexity. Don't reuse for different sites. 2) store all of your unique passwords in a password manager or password vault. Follow those 2 simple rules and passwords will no longer be an issue.

I, an older person, prefer a different sort of solution...I do not think it is easy to change passwords for every site, and I most surely do not want to always have to refer to an outside (of my brain) source to recall my password. And so, I select a password "root" - let's say, a favorite word like 'tornado'...and then a number, say '21' (backwards 12, if born in December) and a special character, say '!'...and so, when I'm at americanexpress.com, I use "AE21!tornado" as my password. For KZbin.com, I use 'YT21!tornado', and so on... I never write it down, not even for myself or a close person in my life; if I need to do that, I write a hint for 21!tornado as "birth emphasis weather", and remember to begin with two CAPITAL LETTERS corresponding to each site I visit. What do you think, Jim?
