Alice tried for a long time to get noticed by a Hollywood agent, but sadly only ever managed a few shots in this specific film. I watched this movie as a teenager in Germany. I never thought, that you can make a scary film about a car! Stephen King and John Carpenter managed this as a high class professionality, without computer-technic! It is in my opionion very difficult to deal with this, because of the danger in producing a laughable movie. So this is an absolute masterpiece in movie history, also shown in the fact, that it's not getting old. You can watch this nowadays in cinema and you never think, that the movie is 41 years old! Music, director's work, lights, tension and so on are adorable and magnificant! Greetings from Frank, Germany.

I wish they wouldn't wreck such classic cars. You may not have liked the first Rambler Marlin, but I did. There is this dinosaur movie where they crash an old rambler Marlin. I hate it when they crash '98' through 2011 Crown Victorias. While there are plenty of them out there, it still hurts to see it. My 2011 Crown Vic has close to 139,000 miles on it. People are getting over a million miles on the "Panther" cars. Some of the best cars ever built in this country. From what I've been reading for the past few years, you won't get 1,000,000 miles out of a new Mercedes, nor a new BMW.

3:34 The look on his face. Sh!t just got real for this guy. Christine becomes even more amazing when you find out that John Carpenter took the film simply because it was the only project he was offered after everybody took a dump on The Thing the year before. He had multiple projects lined up, but the overwhelmingly negative response to The Thing led to those projects being cancelled, as Carpenter was considered to be poison. So, yeah, it was simply a job for Carpenter, yet he was skilled enough to carefully craft a great exercise in Suspense.
