Love this-I work at a school and we call that paper GOOS paper - Good On One Side. I might make these for some of my teacher friends to make the GOOS Paper more fun to use.

Good to use at home to keep extra paper from getting messy on one edge...kids often misjudge how much paper their binder will actually hold.

A little fusible webbing would make the job with the Matilda product easier - just turn it into fusible yourself..........then petition Matilda to make a fusible version as well lol. As well another reuse/recycle way of doing this would be to replace the Matilda stiffening for the body with the cover of a broken ring binder. It also would make it so you could use it easily on a lap, too. It would be easier to stitch it all first, then slip[ the cover in and top stitch the opening closed - or all around whichever suits you.

Just what I was coming to suggest. I’ve also just used glue stick when in a pinch.

These are great ideas Bigs. I spoke to the company that supplies Matilda's Own, and they don't want to make fusible products due to the chemicals and effect it may have on the environment😀

What a cool idea, as usual Christine. I saw you had posted this video but had to finish prepareing dinner before I could watch it, fastest meal prep ever, lol. I may put a pocket or two on the front or inside front for small note pieces. I like to cut up previously used paper into scratch notes, and I am always looking for something to put them in that is handy. Thank you again for the unique, useful inspiration.❤💙

Would spray basting your peltex with 505 help hold your fabric if you don't have fusible lining?
@ChristinesHomeAffairs Жыл бұрын
Yes Bonnie. Spray basting would work. I had my tin at the shop and was too lazy to go get it😁

Lovely! I think I will make one for my grandson! I was wondering what kind of Peltex you think would work best, do you happen to still have the number? They have so many to choose from.
@ChristinesHomeAffairs Жыл бұрын
Laura, the one I used to use was Pellon Peltex 71F. It was fusible. Spotlight should have it, or something suitable. Independant quilt shops may have it too. Decovil heavy will also work.😀
