Oh wow! That really is the golden ticket. I am have been searching for the FL KOTW for the longest time. It is my holy grail of special editions.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! And happy new year! So many beautiful books! Lots of them are on my TBR too, they sound great. Especially ACOMAF, I can't wait to beat my reading slump and get to it 😊 Also THOSE DRUMS sooooo cool!
@LJG76542 жыл бұрын
I try not to think how many books are on my actual TBR list. I do have a "working" pile (2 piles...) next to my bed that I start with. I do really good at getting several off, then end up at the book store and it goes right back up! You also inspired me to just go ahead and grab the collectors editions of Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom because I really only want those editions and if I don't get them while they are available, I'll be mad at myself. Do I really need more books? Not really, but totally agree that buying is half the fun! :)

Belated Merry Christmas, Ness 🥰🥰 I haven’t even finished the video, but you deserve all the gifts you’ve received. I’m so happy for you!

My Auntie always sends me a Terry's Chocolate OIrange for Chrtistmas. It is always one of my favourite presents. I'm so excited for you to learn the drums! I like the red and black dress, it suits you :) I'm attempting to reduce my TBR this year. I'm making a full list of all the books I own and see how many I have and what I need to read and see if there's any I can get rid off straight away. I hope the 100 book challenge works for you :)

I was NOT expecting you to say drums!! That's so cool! Please, please, please can you do a video of you playing the drums when you're confident to do so. Or maybe even do a progress video? I didn't learn to play the violin until I was an adult, but I had always dreamed of playing violin when I was a kid. So I get how you feel. I'm honestly excited for you 😆 EDIT: Nevermind, I just got to the end 😆 those drums are so pretty! I'm still gunna hope for more videos of you playing the drums though. Good luck on your musical journey!

I'll keep my vlogs updated on any progression! Trying to learn my first song at the moment while practicing technique. Eventually I'd like to show my progression on tiktok or something :) Hopefully by that time I have an amp!

Great to see another video of yours, if there are any other FairyLoot books that you want before you started your subscription let me know as I have over two years of books from them so have a good variety. So glad you are in to the Wayward Children series, I am just waiting on book 7 arriving although I do have an arc of this book 🤭 I went to the half price sale and my Waterstones was crazy but I did have fun and managed to get 5 amazing books and only spent £30

Kingdom of the Cursed was definitely more new adult than Kingdom of the Wicked, so I think that may be why they classified it that way!

You have superpowers finishing ACOMAF and not immediately jumping into A Court of Wings and Ruin. Even on re-reads I have no self control and need to see what happens with Feyre

I really want to saviour it so I'm probably going to re-read ACOMAF first before allowing myself to read ACOWAR!

That KotW 🤩 what a beautiful gift!! I finally finished it (from the library) and im so keen to read the second book and i really hope wrath is end game 😅 And omg acomaf is fave book in the acotar series! Its soo much better than acotar!! Have you read crescent city? Its amazing and a fantasy murder mystery! Heaps of world building in the first part but i loved it, and the end omg haha
@Wanderness2 жыл бұрын
I do think Wrath is end game, they haven't really introduced another option I have read HOEAB and I absolutely loved it :) planning on re-reading it in a few weeks for book 2, very excited!

I'm reading For the Wolf right now. I have about 100 pages left, hopefully finishing tonight, probably not continuing onto the second book anytime soon. Flat is an excellent way to describe it and at this point the only thing that is pulling me through is imagining Eammon as Geralt as depicted in the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher and the Wilderwood as some of the grimier twilit scenes in the show. I want to like it so much and I love the concept and the magic system but it's so. so. slow. and every chapter feels the same. And I've basically started skimming the Interludes because they just sap the energy even more. Not helping is the fact Naomi Novik's Uprooted is one of my favorite books and this feels like a much weaker version of the same story. I actually had to start rereading an audiobook of something I enjoy to keep my reading appetite up so I can finish it. Ava Reid's Wolf and the Woodsman came out about the same time and I'm kind of glad I read For the Wolf first because from the synopsis, I'm thinking I'll appreciate Wolf and the Woodsman a bit more... that is, after I take a break from this trope lol. Also that drum kit is gorgeous!!! The matte black cymbals!!! Happy New Year!
@Wanderness2 жыл бұрын
Happy New year 😊😊 Yes I completely agree with everything you've said about For The Wolf. The Last 100 pages were the hardest for me too :( It was far too long and repetitive, and the relationship just seemed to come out of nowhere, like it seemed really forced

No but I actually felt THE SAME as you did with ACOMAF!!

That is weird that your neighbor stares at you, do you have your window open? Sometimes if I am reading by my window I'll put a plant in front of like where my peripheral vision is so that I can't see if someone walks by and looks at me.

The blinds are pulled up to make sure I get the best light but the window is never open so she can't hear me, she just watches me. She's done it about 2 years now!
