Hello Cindy! It's the first time I see a youtiber pointing out A.I generated amigurumis patterns book, and/or stolen patterns amigurumis books. THANK YOU for that. This information needs to circulating in the yarny community, we have to learn how to identify those, et . It Is Making Me So Mad.😤 The persons/ cie publishing those books are gonna be making money , because some persons just don't know, don't pay attention, or just don't care. Nowadays, I try to get the reflex to immediately question ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that comes from internet Anyways I hope these people get arrested, banished and eill not be able to steel from artists. On a happier note I wish you a Fantastic Christmas yime, with lost of crochet time and a lot of....Frosting!!!!!😉🤗

I’ve noticed those scammy amigurumi books as well. I first noticed them because i recognized one of the patterns and knew exactly who the designer was. The other patterns in the book did not match her style. Then i started noticing other books with the same issue. So now i start to look at the author’s name. If it looks like some generic person’s name and it’s not a designer’s name that I’m familiar with, I question the validity of the book. There are quite a few books like those on amazon and I’m surprised that Amazon allows such items to be on there. I’m so glad you brought this topic up because as consumers, i think its important to be aware of such scams. What a great video. Loved your book reviews and seeing your creations from them. Hi sweet friend!! I’m the same, if I don’t recognize the name, I’m skeptical. It’s sad we have to be so cautious. My hubby had an Amazon shop at one time, the hoops he had to jump through was exhausting, so I’m amazed that these are getting through their system. Because getting listed on their platform is not an easy process. I’m going to report these two and write reviews. I’m so upset for the designers. We all lose with these sort of criminal acts. Ugh. They can go choke on a scoop of frosting. 👿😂♥️

One of my first books I bought was one of her gnome books the spring gnomes. I was so impressed with it especially the back loop only marking where all the parts go! I liked it so much I bought her Halloween and Christmas books ( the 1st Christmas book). The digital world makes theft way too easy for so many bad actors! It’s a shame!

@@therumimillcrochet, Hi my name is Matilda and I'm a gnome pattern shop-a-holic addict. It's been 20 minutes since my last purchase of the most adorable vegetable gnome patterns I've ever seen. Seriously I have fallen in the rabbit hole. I must have been a closet gnome lover. Honestly, I'll never be able to crochet all these Gnomes before I die. On another note...I just had to share this little story. It's the bad self thing...I was at work the other day, and the song Rock the Boat from the 70's... The Hues Corporation was playing on the overhead. I was singing along (sorta like a bad ventriloquist) as not to draw to much attention to myself, well at the end of the song the dude sings get down with your bad self a couple times (least I think He does..I had a friend that thought Stevie Nicks song White Wing Dove was actually One wing Dove...Funny story so I guess anything is possible. Anyhow I had a laugh out loud moment that looked weird to the people around me. I've been thinking it will be nice to sit with my headphones on and crochet some Gnomes and listen to a little Yacht Rock Radio. I've had the gnome books on my list for a while, I'm definitely going to have to get those! I know that designer has an Etsy shop as well called crochetpage. But the book is probably the better deal 😁 I hate seeing designers ripped off like that. I have Kindle unlimited and that one with the doll is on there. I didn't look in depth because the patterns were horrible like they had been photo copied. I need to find that girl though from the original designer, she's adorable 😍 I hadn't heard of AI books until recently. It's kind of crazy the things people can do now. I really love this series you are doing, it's so much fun to watch!

Because I’m sure you know how hard it is to get those hats on sometimes. And I agree, it’s so sad we have to watch out for this now. Poor designers, have to stay, three steps ahead of the criminals. My grandma bought me a muppets magazine waaaaay back when and there was a membership application in it, I regret not joining as 6 year old. The pieces of mail and updates I could have had….😢 and even you and I might have found each other, not as middle aged adults that still loved stuffies. That last statement makes us seem weird….let me rephrase it….we might have found each other sooner and realized our love for a craft where we could make our own childhood bffs….that’s not much better, but I think you catch my drift. I just subscribed to your channel based on your love of frosting, our shared name Cindy & the name of that snowman. 😂 Some of the youngins will not get the reference but I was sold soon as you said it. I have made several of the gnome patterns from the creator of the first 2 books u mentioned, Maria. I bought her patterns on Etsy and I have loved all of them. I appreciate the heads up on the others. Everyone should receive credit for their design work. It makes you wonder if they even know their designs have been printed in a book if there is no mention of their names.

I'm making one right now and the pattern is great. I wish that those horrible stealers of designers' patterns would wake up and see their misdeeds. Thank you for shining light on the problem. Merry Christmas my fellow butter whipped with sugar lover!! I know there’s nothing healthy about it….but man, I do love me some buttercream. 😍 And I have no idea why, I have never thought of this front loop idea. It is wonderful. She does it for the faces, arms and pieces that need to be attached. The part that I forgot to mention is that everything is made as one piece (hats and bodies) which I adore. Gnome hats are typically hard to get “just right”. And yes, I too hate that there’s ONE MORE thing we have to be careful about because of bad people. Ugh…idiots.
