The first time that I visited Biltmore was on the first day of completed Christmas decor of that particular year ( early 90’s) I recall somebody saying that it was the busiest single day in the history of house, with a crowd of more than 25,000. We waited in line ( in the snow) for 2 1/4 hours to get in. In true Biltmore fashion, the staff was dispensing free hot cider, and there was live entertainment for us as we waited. It was worth it, and I have been back multiple times in all seasons

It’s so worth taking their narrated tour with a tour guide omg 😱 I was just blown away it was a spur of the moment decision but one of the best I ever made my youngest daughter was 9 years old at the time and still talks about that day. We barely had the gas to get home but it was worth every Penny. I want to go back for Xmas 🎄 one day

Just wanted to bring to your attention that the most traditional Christmas Carol, “Carol of the bells”, is a Ukrainian carol Shchedryk written by Mykola Leontovich.

I visited Biltmore in the fall of 1999 and as a Canadian, I will never forget it. As an avid reader I'll never forget the impressive library. I believe the guide said there were 20,000 books in 8 different languages. Such a wonderful place.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS AT BILTMORE!! Thank you for putting this video up. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... Every year I do the same thing: I go back and look at all your past Christmas videos. I love them all. I wish there were more, but you do have a beautiful estate to run! ;) If I had a bucket list, which I don't, Christmas at Biltmore would be on the top of that list. Thank you for sharing. May I wish you all the very best Holiday Season, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, and a Happy and Successful New Year!

Female Staff memeber: My TEAM have been getting ready for Christmas since last year. We discuss where everyone on the TEAM needs to be. Don Hollaway:The banquet hall is MY responsibility this year. 70 feet, 7 storeys, pretty amazing that I get to decorate it. Female staff member: The WHOLE COMPANY gets involved...lists all the teams Don: Yup but I get to really big room, Im the winner, me. Tells us that his room the the most important...so amazing, big room, huge Female staff: We think about our visitors, our staff are amazing Don: Sometimes things don't work out my way...then i get sad and mad... Female staff: We're focused on maintaining the historical authenticity, we are all involved, even small unrelated jobs Don: Yup...I got the big room, just remember that everyone..me...alone... Female staff member: Lots of little mice, guests are the focus, creating a sense of magic Don: Can someone get me a trophy over here?

Not a big Christmas person. But going here usually gets me somewhat in the spirit of the season. Everything about Biltmore is mind-boggling. We love visiting any time of year. We are in Chattanooga so we can leave the Estate as late as 6 pm or so on the day before we have to go to work and get home at a good hour.

Who owned the Biltmore was it the Vanderbilts? Or am I getting it twisted? Vanderbilts that’s Anderson Cooper’s family! His mom was Gloria Vanderbilt! So does Anderson stop by to see everything and who now owns his family home?

It was a Vanderbilt by the name of George Vanderbilt, his family got famous in railroads and shipping. They are related to Anderson Cooper and Gloria. Currently it's owned by a family by the name of Cecil.
