A Biltmore Christmas

On Christmas Eve of 1895, the public got its first look at America’s largest home when owner George Vanderbilt opened the doors for all to see. And still today, many Americans flock to The Biltmore during the holiday season to step back in time and experience the holiday spirit.

So beautiful. I stayed at the Biltmore Hotel for my honeymoon, in 2002, and toured the mansion. It was so amazing. I would live right there on estate if I could. It's magical. I hope to go again and experience it at Christmas time.

All I can say is, do your best to get there anytime of the year, it’s a fantastic place, take the main tour and the behind the scenes tour. Lastly pick up some wine from their own winery

Only the tree in the dining hall is fresh. It is traded out once during the season. That’s what we were told by one of the docents.

Don't go. I love history and architecture, but can't justify the price and misery this place inflicts on you when you tour. Giant rip off

Simply, bluntly put?! Just not as I have perceived it numerous times.. walking as you age is a problem. Our last trip we were both 78 years old and in excellent physical condition. That is a requirement! Now? No, but the memories are imbedded in our minds.
