Thanks to Mom for joining me this week🎄The original recipe uses almond extract so feel free to use that - but we personally love vanilla. Hope you all enjoy these!🥰

Thank you Mom and Bethany! My dear wife makes 10 dozen cookies a week for a local non-profit called Reigning Grace Ranch and is always looking for recipes. Me, other than bread I don’t bake. But I love cookies❤ Congratulations, Mom for raising such a talented and gracious daughter!

George, that's wonderful. I looked up the ranch and I love the purpose behind it! So great your wife makes so many cookies for them! Drew is the bread maker in the family too :) And you're too kind, thank you for the sweet words. 🥰

My grandmother made these. I had forgotten them, she passed away in 1986 when I was 28. I liked these very much.

I'm so glad it could remind you of your grandmothers💛 They'll always be something I associate with my mom which is special.

I made it. I’m famous. 🤩 💅 Thank you for not mentioning I failed at the butter situation both times lol. I got it this time 🫡 COLD BUTTER. More videos with maaaaa plz! We love you both together!

Yeah I kept that part out😂 and yeah I wanna see perfect crescents instead of puddle cookies on your next report😉
@Pelican50773 сағат бұрын
This was so interesting. My heritage is German and the tradition passed down through multiple generations is a recipe very similar to yours. The biggest difference is that (1) we use lard instead of butter and (2) we shape them into an S versus a crescent. We will be making ours next week!

Hi Bethany and Barbara. Barbara is also my mothers name. I love tradition.I love authentic recipes.I wish i could try one of these cookies. My best childhood friend is 100% norweigan and his mom made lefse. I have a feeling these cookies melt in your mouth. Family recipes are the best. Enjoy your holidays with your family. Xmas cards are in the mail tomorrow. Im craving biscotti. Is there a main course entre for italians on Christmas? Antipasto platter? I know it has olives. Happy holidays
@Asimplepalate17 сағат бұрын
Love to hear it!! yes, they do melt in your mouth. Our Christmas main course will be next weeks video :) (if all goes smoothly with me filming it that is lol).

Ciao Amica Mio. Come Stai. Those looked yummy. My mom didn't bake. But I do remember going to my Nonna's house Christmas Eve and bringing the Rainbow cookies, even though they are cake, Pignoli cookies, Sfiudella (spell check) and of course Strufoli. If you know where to get them by us please let me know. Dio Ti Benedica 🇺🇸✝️🇮🇹🥀
@Asimplepalate11 сағат бұрын
All of those sound delicious, Edward! I wish I knew a place - I would be there! I've always wanted to try Struffoli! Thanks so much😊

@Asimplepalate Good Evening neighbor. Try frying dollar tree Gnocchi. Do it from raw, don't boil them. They float when done. You can dress them like Strufoli. I promise you will love it. Ciao Bella Amica Mio 🇺🇸✝️🇮🇹🥀

@Asimplepalate Do you have a fried dough recipe in the near future? My sister is bugging me to learn how to make fried dough for Christmas. We use to have it on Christmas Eve morning when we were kids.
